Running a modpack with friends? Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks (CurseForge, FTB, Technic) and free DDoS protection.
For the current Adventure of Tech VI release, use Minecraft 26.1.2 with NeoForge. Install the client archive Adventure of Tech VI-v0.5.1.zip and, for a dedicated multiplayer server, the matching Adventure of Tech VI Server Pack-v0.5.1.zip. The files were published on September 24, 2026. Back up every existing world before updating.
What Adventure of Tech VI is
Adventure of Tech VI is Tralty’s Minecraft Java modpack built around technology, exploration, quests and combat. CurseForge classifies it under Tech, Adventure and RPG, Multiplayer, Combat/PvP, and Quests. The project description asks players to gather resources, build and decorate a base, develop technology, and follow additional quests while progressing toward powerful goals.
The captured CurseForge project page showed 51,529 downloads in 2026. That figure is a page snapshot, not a lifetime total or a performance guarantee. The project is listed as All Rights Reserved, so do not redistribute its files or publish modified copies without permission.
Current release and files
| Use | File | Minecraft | Loader | Size | Published |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Client modpack | Adventure of Tech VI-v0.5.1.zip | 26.1.2 | NeoForge | 71.1 MB | September 24, 2026 |
| Dedicated server | Adventure of Tech VI Server Pack-v0.5.1.zip | 26.1.2 | NeoForge | 356.5 MB | September 24, 2026 |
These are a matched release pair. A player running a different Minecraft version, NeoForge version, or modpack build can be rejected during connection or encounter missing-mod and registry errors. Do not substitute a generic server download for the supplied server pack.
#1 Best Overall
Before installing
- Confirm that every player intends to use Minecraft Java Edition, not Bedrock Edition.
- Record the exact target as Minecraft 26.1.2, NeoForge, Adventure of Tech VI v0.5.1.
- Download the client archive for each player and the dedicated server archive only if you are hosting a separate server.
- Copy existing single-player and server world folders to a separate backup location before changing versions.
- Keep the downloaded ZIP files until the installation has launched successfully; they are useful for reinstalling or comparing versions.
- Read any README, launch script, or setup notes included in the server archive before starting it.
The official release notes specifically say to back up worlds before updating. Treat that as a requirement, not an optional precaution: a pack update can change recipes, quest data, world-generation behavior, or mod data attached to existing chunks.
How to install the client
Launcher workflow
- Install or open a Minecraft modpack launcher that supports importing CurseForge packs.
- Use its Minecraft browse or import function to locate Adventure of Tech VI. If the launcher offers a version selector, choose v0.5.1 and verify that the profile reports Minecraft 26.1.2 and NeoForge.
- If the project page provides the official archive directly, download
Adventure of Tech VI-v0.5.1.zipand use the launcher’s Import or Import ZIP action. Do not treat the archive as a collection of loose mods to copy into an unrelated vanilla profile. - Let the launcher create a separate instance. Keeping the pack isolated prevents its configuration, resource packs, and loader files from being mixed with another profile.
- Start the instance once with no added mods or shader packs. Wait for the title screen, then create a disposable test world and confirm that the quest book and expected pack content load.
Launcher labels differ, but the important checks are the profile’s game version, NeoForge loader, and pack version. If an importer silently selects another release, remove that profile and import the v0.5.1 archive explicitly.
Updating an existing installation
- Exit Minecraft and the launcher completely.
- Make a dated copy of every world used by the old profile. For a server, stop the server cleanly before copying its world directory.
- Install v0.5.1 as a new profile or use the launcher’s controlled update option. A new profile makes rollback easier if a mod or configuration change causes trouble.
- Open the release notes and check the changes that affect your playthrough. v0.5.1 rearranges quests, restores Spirit Attuned Gem recipe behavior, adds hammer-made plates, updates shaders, updates NeoForge, and updates mods.
- Open the backed-up world in the new profile only after confirming that the original backup is intact. Never use your only copy for the first migration attempt.
If the updated profile crashes while loading a world, keep the backup untouched, capture the launcher log, and test a new world. A new world that loads normally points to a world-conversion or old-mod-data issue rather than a basic installation failure.
Dedicated server setup
1. Download the correct server pack
Use Adventure of Tech VI Server Pack-v0.5.1.zip, the 356.5 MB archive published September 24, 2026. Create a new server directory and unpack the archive there. Do not unpack it over an unrelated NeoForge server: old libraries, configurations, and world data can make it impossible to identify which release is running.
2. Inspect the supplied files before launching
Look for the pack’s included launch scripts, server JAR, configuration directories, and documentation. The official project pages captured for this release do not publish a Java version, minimum or recommended RAM, operating-system commands, or a port number. Therefore, use the script and documentation included in the archive as the authority for those details. If the archive contains no instructions, consult the launcher log and the NeoForge installation notes for the exact files it expects instead of guessing a JAR name or memory setting.
3. Accept the game terms and start once
Most Minecraft Java dedicated servers require the operator to review the EULA and change the generated EULA setting only after agreeing to it. Start the supplied script once, allow it to generate its configuration and log files, stop it cleanly, then review the generated files. Do not delete configuration files simply because the first launch stops; the stop often indicates that initial setup is incomplete.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
4. Set an administrator and protect the directory
Use the server console or the pack’s documented administration method to grant operator access to the trusted account that will manage the server. Restrict write access to the server directory, especially if the machine hosts other services. Keep the world, configuration, and log folders in the backup plan, not just the ZIP archive.
5. Configure networking only after local testing
First connect from the same machine or local network using the address appropriate to your setup. The official Adventure of Tech VI pages do not state a required port, so use the port shown in the generated server configuration and verify it against your router and firewall documentation. If friends connect over the internet, you may need firewall rules, router port forwarding, or a hosted network service; the exact steps depend on your operating system, router, and network provider.
6. Match every client to the server
Install the same v0.5.1 client, Minecraft 26.1.2 version, and NeoForge loader on every player’s machine. A server pack is not a replacement for the client pack: players still need the matching client-side files and configuration. When a player receives a missing-mod, wrong-version, or registry-mismatch message, compare the profile’s version identifiers before changing server files.

RAM, Java and operating-system requirements
No official Java version, minimum RAM, recommended RAM, operating-system command, or port requirement is stated on the captured Adventure of Tech VI project and release pages. It would be misleading to assign a precise number to this pack from those pages alone.
Use this verification process instead:
- Check the server archive’s README and launch scripts for a Java executable or version check.
- Read the first startup log for the Java runtime and NeoForge version actually detected.
- Watch memory usage while the server generates a test world and while several players explore new terrain; record the peak rather than relying on an arbitrary allocation.
- Increase or decrease the launcher’s memory allocation only when the log shows memory pressure, long garbage-collection pauses, or an operating-system out-of-memory event.
- Leave headroom for the operating system and other services. Allocating all physical memory to Java can make the server less stable.
For a managed host, ask support to confirm that its plan supports the pack’s NeoForge server pack and to state the Java runtime, memory allocation, backup policy, and version-switching procedure in writing. Those are operational checks, not specifications published by the modpack project.
Self-hosting versus managed hosting
Adventure of Tech VI includes a dedicated server pack, so either approach is viable. The right choice depends on whether you value control or convenience.
Best Value
| Factor | Self-hosted machine | Managed Minecraft server |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | Uses an existing computer or requires hardware; the project does not specify a required hardware model. | Usually avoids buying a dedicated machine, but pricing and resource limits vary by provider. |
| Recurring cost | Electricity, storage, and network costs remain your responsibility. | A recurring hosting fee covers the provider’s infrastructure; exact prices are provider-specific. |
| Setup effort | You unpack the server pack, handle Java and firewall settings, update files, and troubleshoot logs. | A control panel may simplify installation, but you still need to upload or select the correct server pack and game version. |
| File and mod control | Full access to scripts, configs, worlds, logs, and backups. | Control depends on the panel and file access offered by the provider. |
| Backups | You design, schedule, test, and store backups yourself. | Backups may be included, limited, or sold separately; confirm retention and download access. |
| Uptime | Depends on your machine, power, operating system, and internet connection. | Provider infrastructure can improve availability, but no host guarantees a specific result for this pack without a current service agreement. |
| Network exposure | You manage firewall rules, port forwarding, and public-address changes. | The provider normally supplies a public endpoint, while you still control player permissions and server security. |
Whichever option you choose, verify that it accepts a custom NeoForge server pack rather than only a predefined catalog of modpacks. Keep an independent copy of the world even when a host advertises automatic backups.

| Symptom | Likely check | Action |
|---|---|---|
| The launcher refuses to import the ZIP. | The file may be incomplete or the launcher may not support this import format. | Download the official v0.5.1 client archive again, verify the filename, and use the launcher’s documented import workflow. |
| NeoForge or mod-loading errors appear immediately. | The profile is using a different Minecraft or loader version. | Confirm Minecraft 26.1.2 and NeoForge in the profile; create a clean v0.5.1 instance instead of mixing files. |
| Players receive a missing-mod or registry-mismatch error. | Client and server builds do not match. | Compare both sides with the v0.5.1 client and server filenames, then remove stray mods from the client profile. |
| The server stops during first launch. | Initial files, EULA confirmation, Java detection, or the supplied launch script may need attention. | Read the first error in the server log, follow the archive’s instructions, and avoid guessing a replacement JAR or Java version. |
| Friends cannot connect, but local testing works. | Firewall, router forwarding, address selection, or provider filtering. | Use the port shown in the generated server configuration, permit it through the host firewall, and verify forwarding with your router documentation. |
| An updated world behaves unexpectedly. | The world was opened without a backup or contains data from an older pack. | Stop, restore the dated backup, and test the update on a copy. Keep the original world untouched until the migration is confirmed. |
| Performance degrades as players explore. | Memory pressure, storage speed, CPU load, or newly generated terrain. | Check logs and operating-system metrics, reduce competing workloads, and size resources from observed usage rather than an unverified number. |
What changed in v0.5.1
The September 24, 2026 release notes call out several changes that matter to an existing save:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- Quests were rearranged, so familiar objectives may appear in a different order.
- Spirit Attuned Gem recipe behavior was restored.
- Plates can be made with a hammer.
- Shaders, NeoForge, and multiple mods were updated.
These changes are why a world backup belongs in the update procedure. Test progression and crafting on a copy before committing a long-running server world to the new release.
Quick Recap
Practical first-session plan
- Launch the clean client profile and create a temporary test world.
- Confirm that the quest system opens and that the interface renders correctly.
- Gather basic resources, place a small base, and test the technology progression without adding third-party mods.
- If you intend to use shaders, enable them after the unmodified pack works; this separates pack problems from graphics configuration problems.
- For multiplayer, connect one local test client before inviting the rest of the group.
- Make a dated backup after the first successful session so you have a known-good restore point.
