What can—and can’t—be concluded about performance?

Can you halve a 3.5L slow-cooker recipe?
Not as a dependable conversion rule. The SCR-15’s claimed 1.5L capacity is less than half of 3.5L, and halving ingredients alone does not establish that the reduced recipe will fit or cook correctly. The available evidence does not establish a reliable ingredient or cooking-time conversion for this model.
Recipe discussions show that cooks ask whether to halve ingredients and cooking time when moving to a smaller cooker, but discussion comments are not model-specific operating guidance. Treat a 3.5L recipe as a starting point only, and use a recipe intended for a small slow cooker when dependable quantities and timing matter. Do not assume that cooking time should be halved.

Does the XJ-14220 manual apply to the SCR-15?
No. The Woolworths-hosted Adesso manual identifies its appliance as model XJ-14220, a different 1.5L model. Its instructions do not establish the SCR-15’s controls, care directions, safety specifications or cooking times. Check for documentation that explicitly names SCR-15 before relying on model-specific instructions.

If you specifically want the SCR-15, confirm the exact model number and current listing status with a seller before making plans to buy it; the discontinued label does not establish whether an individual unit is available. If you are open to another cooker, search for “1.5L mini slow cooker” as a category, then verify the candidate’s capacity, dimensions, bowl material and cleaning compatibility, controls, independent cooking results, warranty terms and availability. A category alternative is not the same product as the SCR-15.
