Addigy announced its Intelligence Suite on September 17, 2026, as an AI layer built into its Apple device management platform. It combines plain-language device search, script assistance, reporting and controls for AI tools on managed Macs. The announcement is not confirmed as an episode of the Apple @ Work podcast: the available listing is for a separate 2025 episode featuring Addigy founder Jason Dettbarn.

What Addigy announced

Addigy describes the Intelligence Suite as part of its existing management platform, rather than a separate console. Its proposed workflow is to state a desired outcome in plain language, review the action the system proposes, and approve it before execution. Addigy says approved changes act on live device state and run in real time; those are company descriptions, not independently verified performance findings. The launch announcement is dated September 17, 2026. Addigy’s announcement and product materials

The suite groups several different jobs under its AI label. Some use AI to help administrators work with management data; another is a policy capability for governing AI tools on managed devices.

What the Intelligence Suite includes

Capability What Addigy says it does
Smart Filters Build device filters from plain-language descriptions and inspect device state.
Script Assist Draft, refine and audit scripts. Addigy says sensitive values are removed before model calls.
Generative Reports Describe a report in natural language. Addigy says reports use real device data rather than AI-generated device values.
AI Controls Apply policies to manage AI tools on managed devices. Addigy says this control feature does not itself use AI to process customer data.
Addigy MCP Connect external agents to Addigy’s management control plane, with access limited by permissions and API credentials.

Addigy also describes an AI Compliance Benchmark with “30+ controls.” That count is the company’s description, not an independently audited statistic. Addigy product details

How approval, permissions and data handling work

Addigy says AI-proposed actions require human approval and inherit the customer’s existing permissions. That is intended to keep an AI-assisted workflow within the access boundaries already set for an administrator, rather than giving an assistant unrestricted authority. For Addigy MCP, the company says external-agent access is likewise bounded by permissions and API credentials.

On data handling, Addigy says the suite runs through its AWS infrastructure, uses third-party models accessed through AWS, does not send device data to model providers for training, and does not retain request data after a request completes. It also says Script Assist removes sensitive values before model calls. These are vendor statements; they should not be read as meaning that no third-party model is involved. The distinction between AI Controls and AI-assisted management matters: Addigy says AI Controls applies policies to AI tools on managed devices and does not itself use AI to process customer data. The available materials do not establish independent verification of the suite’s security architecture or data-handling claims.

What the launch claims do—and do not—show

Addigy CTO and founder Jason Dettbarn described the approval model this way: “With Addigy Intelligence Suite, they describe the outcome they want in plain language, review the proposed action, and approve it before anything runs.” This is the company’s account of its intended workflow.

Addigy also published a customer testimonial from Tim Pearson, CEO and founder of CreativeTechs, who said he produced a client-facing security risk plan in an hour with the suite, compared with his team’s previous one-to-two-business-day process. That is an individual customer account published by the vendor, not a controlled study or a general time-saving benchmark. The announcement materials do not provide an independent comparison with other Apple device management platforms.

Availability and launch-period terms

Addigy’s September 17 launch blog said existing customers could access the suite for free through October 31, 2026. At announcement, the company said packaging was still being finalized and that customers would not be automatically converted or billed. Its support FAQ says customers need to opt in. Because these are time-sensitive terms and the stated access window ends October 31, 2026, check Addigy’s current support information for availability and any later pricing or packaging changes before making a purchasing decision. Is this an Apple @ Work podcast announcement?

The title wording suggests a podcast connection, but the available listing does not confirm an Apple @ Work episode about the Intelligence Suite launch. Apple Podcasts lists a different episode, “Building your fleet for compliance,” published September 23, 2025, featuring Dettbarn and discussing Apple IT compliance. It predates the September 2026 announcement. Apple Podcasts listing

Accordingly, the confirmed news is Addigy’s product announcement; the podcast framing should not be treated as evidence that the launch was discussed in a matching episode.
