To add a place to a Snapchat Snap, open the Snap’s Preview screen, tap the sticker icon, and choose a Location sticker. You can also swipe through filters after taking a Snap to look for venue information; filters and stickers are separate options.
How to add a Location sticker

Take a photo or video Snap, or select one, and continue to the Preview screen.

Tap the sticker icon to open the sticker drawer.

Choose a Location sticker. Snapchat describes this sticker as a way to show where you took the Snap. Snapchat Support: How do I add stickers to my Snaps?

Press and drag the sticker to move it. Pinch to resize it. Snapchat also supports pinning a sticker to an object by pressing and holding.

Finish editing, then send or post the Snap to your chosen audience and destination.
How a location filter differs from a sticker
A Location sticker is selected from the sticker drawer. A filter is an overlay you browse by swiping left or right after creating a Snap. Snapchat says some filters can show venue information, but the available choices can vary; if the place you want is not offered as a filter, check the sticker drawer instead. If the Location sticker or filter is missing
Availability can depend on app version, device, region, and location permissions. Snapchat’s troubleshooting guidance recommends checking the app’s Filters setting and the device’s location services. Snapchat Support: How do I enable Snapchat Filters in Settings?

Turn on Filters in Snapchat: Open Snapchat Settings, select “Manage” under “Additional Services,” then turn on “Filters.” Labels may vary as the app changes.

Check location services on iPhone: Open the device’s Settings, then Privacy and Location Services, and allow location access for Snapchat. The exact labels or path may differ on current iOS versions.

Check location on Android: Open the device’s Settings and turn on Location. The menu path varies by device maker and Android version.

Review Precise Location on iOS: Snapchat says that on iOS 14 or later, turning off Precise Location may make some features unavailable, including Location Stickers and Venue Filters. A location sticker is not Snap Map sharing
A Location sticker labels a particular Snap. Snap Map settings control who can see your location. Adding a sticker does not, by itself, change your Snap Map sharing settings.
