Choose by exact Nitro V model and price, not by GPU name alone. In LaptopMedia’s same-power Nitro V 15 comparison, the RTX 5070 led the RTX 5060 by about 7–8% in two synthetic benchmarks. That result is useful but does not promise the same gain in games or apply to every Nitro V configuration. If the 5070 costs more, compare the specific laptops’ GPU power limits, processors, memory, screens, warranty and current local prices before deciding.
What the RTX 5070 versus RTX 5060 comparison tells you
The available direct comparison is narrow: LaptopMedia tested RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 versions of the Nitro V 15 ANV15-A31 with each GPU limited to 75 W. The RTX 5070 scored 11,869 in 3DMark Time Spy Graphics and 21,227 in Wild Life Extreme Unlimited. LaptopMedia reported that it was about 8% ahead in Time Spy and 7% ahead in Wild Life Extreme. These are results from two synthetic tests, not a measure of guaranteed gaming frame rates. LaptopMedia’s Nitro V 15 comparison
That is not enough evidence to declare a universal winner. The benchmark does not establish performance across a full set of games, and the result is specific to the tested 75 W configurations. A different Nitro V model can have a different GPU power limit and other components that affect the overall experience.

These are Acer’s family-level figures for the listed models and tiers, not proof that every laptop sold under a similar name has the same configuration. In the cited table, Acer does not list an RTX 5070 option for the Nitro V 15 ANV15-52. Do not assume both GPU choices exist for every size or generation. Check the complete model number and country-specific SKU against Acer Canada’s Nitro V graphics-power information.
Retail listings can also show configurations that differ from family-table examples. Acer Singapore, for instance, lists Nitro V 16 options with both GPUs; some 2026 listings show 8 GB graphics memory, a 16-inch WUXGA 180 Hz screen and a 75 W GPU. Their processor, RAM and storage vary, so the listed models are not automatically a fair performance or price comparison. See Acer Singapore’s Nitro V listings.

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with 8GB of dedicated GDDR7 VRAM
- Massive 16GB DDR4 memory and fast 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage for accelerated load times and seamless performance.
- 1 - USB Type-C Port USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps) DisplayPort over USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4 & USB Charging (Up to 65W)
How to choose between the two
Choose the RTX 5070 if its specific configuration earns the premium
The 5070 is the more promising option when the exact laptop has a suitable power limit, its performance advantage matters for your games or other GPU-heavy work, and the price difference is acceptable. The cited comparison supports a modest lead in two synthetic tests for matched 75 W Nitro V 15 configurations; it does not prove a particular game-FPS improvement. For a game-specific decision, look for testing of the same model and power configuration in the games you play.
Choose the RTX 5060 if it is the better-balanced laptop
A lower GPU tier can be the better buy when it comes in a stronger overall configuration or costs meaningfully less. Check whether the saved money leaves you with enough RAM, storage and screen quality for your needs. Do not pay extra for a 5070 based only on the name when the models differ in other ways or their prices are not directly comparable.

Compare the whole configuration, not just the GPU
- SKU and region: Record the full model number and country. Similar Nitro V names can refer to different configurations.
- GPU power: Verify the listed power limit for the exact SKU. The Acer figures above show that Nitro V families can use different power envelopes.
- Processor: Compare the CPU in each listing; a different processor means the laptops are not a GPU-only comparison.
- Memory and storage: Check RAM capacity and type, upgradeability if stated by the seller, and SSD capacity.
- Display: Compare resolution, refresh rate and panel details rather than treating all screens as equivalent.
- Warranty and price: Use the current price and warranty offered in your market, and compare like-for-like configurations.
Why listing prices and other reviews need context
Price snapshots from different countries or dates cannot establish a fair current price gap. Acer’s US store listing for the Nitro V 16 RTX 5060 ANV16-72-70F4 specified a Core 7 240H, 16 GB DDR5, 512 GB SSD and 16-inch 1920×1200 180 Hz display. The page showed $1,299.99 and out of stock when accessed; that is a dated US listing, not a current offer or a matched RTX 5070 price. Acer US Nitro V 16 listing
Other coverage can help with configuration context without answering the head-to-head question. PC Gamer’s review unit was a Nitro V 15 (2025) ANV15-52-710T with a Core i7-13620H, RTX 5060 8 GB, 16 GB DDR4, 1 TB SSD and 15.6-inch 1920×1080 165 Hz IPS display. It was not a matched RTX 5070-versus-5060 test. PC Gamer’s Nitro V 15 review

A practical buying checklist
- Find the full SKU and market. Do not compare listings that only say “Nitro V 16” or “RTX 5070.”
- Confirm the GPU power limit. Compare the exact listing with Acer’s specification for that model and region.
- Match the rest of the hardware. Compare CPU, RAM, SSD, display and warranty; note any differences that matter to you.
- Check relevant performance evidence. Treat the 7–8% synthetic lead as applying to the tested 75 W Nitro V 15 versions, not as a universal gaming uplift.
- Compare live local prices. Use current offers for configurations as similar as possible. The cited listings do not provide a matched, current price comparison.
- Decide whether the premium is worthwhile. Pay more for the 5070 only if the specific model’s demonstrated benefit for your workload justifies its price.
