Yes. If the app on your Acer PC is Acer Collection S, you can decline its prompt or uninstall the app if Windows offers that option. Declining avoids the prompt; uninstalling removes the app. The available uninstall controls can vary by PC and Windows version, so confirm the exact app name before removing anything.
What is Acer Collection S?
An answer in an Acer Community discussion describes Acer Collection S as an application that recommends other apps. That is community guidance, not a formal Acer product specification, and versions may not all behave identically.
If you see terms and conditions and do not want to agree, you do not need to accept them just to dismiss the interaction. The community answer says choosing Decline stops the prompt from bothering you. That dismisses the prompt; it is not the same as uninstalling the app.

Choose between declining and uninstalling
| Your goal | Option | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Avoid agreeing to the prompt or interacting with it | Choose Decline | Community guidance says this dismisses the prompt. |
| Remove Acer Collection S from the PC | Use the installed-app uninstall control, if available | Removes the app through the PC’s normal app-management controls. |
How to try uninstalling Acer Collection S
- Check the exact name. Open the installed-app list in Windows Settings or the equivalent app list on your PC. Confirm that the entry is Acer Collection S before taking action; similarly named Acer software may be different.
- Use the uninstall control Windows provides. Select Acer Collection S and choose Uninstall if that option is shown. The exact Settings labels and path depend on your Windows version.
- If your Acer model has App Management, you can use that instead. An Acer Predator manual lists Acer Collection S among installed apps and describes removing installed apps through App Management. This is an example for that Predator context, not a universal procedure for every Acer PC.
- Follow the on-screen confirmation. If Windows or Acer’s app-management interface reports an error, stop rather than deleting program folders or changing registry entries.
What if Acer Collection S is not listed or will not uninstall?
Do not assume an app with a similar name is the same software. Note your Acer model, Windows version, and the exact name shown in the prompt or installed-app list. Acer’s US support site offers routes including Acer Answers, manuals, warranty inquiry, repair, and contact support; available options may differ by region and can change.

Do not confuse Collection S with Acer BYOC Apps
Acer BYOC Apps, also called abApps, and the AOP framework are separate from Acer Collection S. Acer’s BYOC notice says technical support for abApps ended on September 30, 2018 and provides removal instructions for those apps and the AOP framework. That date and those instructions apply to BYOC software; they do not establish that Acer Collection S is discontinued or provide its removal procedure.
What uninstalling does—and does not establish
The available material supports declining the prompt or using an ordinary uninstall control where one is available. It does not quantify or establish any resulting change in performance, privacy, storage, or security. If the PC does not expose an uninstall option, use Acer support rather than manually removing files or registry entries.
