Bandai Namco’s official roster currently lists 29 aircraft for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, and the publisher says more are forthcoming. Additional fighter jets can be unlocked with MRP earned in missions, but the public walkthrough does not provide individual aircraft prices or an exact unlock sequence. The F-14A and ADFX-02 Morgan–PIXY have separate bonus routes.
Which aircraft are currently listed in Ace Combat 8?
The following 29 models appear on Bandai Namco’s roster page, checked on October 7, 2026. The count is based on the aircraft displayed there; it is not a publisher-announced final total. The publisher says more aircraft are forthcoming, so this is the currently listed roster, not a guarantee of the complete launch or eventual lineup. Roles below follow the official descriptions.

How do you unlock aircraft?
Earn MRP in missions
Bandai Namco’s walkthrough says additional fighter jets can be unlocked using MRP, the in-game currency earned in missions. It does not publish a model-by-model unlock table, individual MRP costs, or the precise progression point for each standard-roster aircraft. The public information therefore establishes the general route, not the exact requirements for a particular jet. See the official walkthrough for the publisher’s guidance.

Match your aircraft to the mission
The walkthrough recommends choosing an aircraft to suit the objective and your playstyle. Its role labels—fighter, attacker, multirole, and electronic—are a useful starting point, while available weapon and loadout options also matter. Different missions may call for different loadouts; the roster page does not provide unlock requirements or a complete performance comparison.
How do you get the F-14A and Morgan–PIXY?
F-14A: preorder bonus
Bandai Namco lists the F-14A as a playable-aircraft preorder bonus. Eligibility depends on the edition and region, and a preorder offer may no longer be available. Check the current official listing for your platform and region before buying on the assumption that the bonus is included.

ADFX-02 Morgan–PIXY: Season 1 Premium Ace Pass
Bandai Namco identifies the ADFX-02 Morgan–PIXY as a Season 1 exclusive aircraft in the Premium Ace Pass. According to the publisher’s FAQ, redeeming that pass unlocks Morgan–PIXY immediately for Online Mode. Campaign Mode use requires completing Campaign Mode first.
Deluxe Edition voucher: season choice matters
The Deluxe Edition includes a voucher for one season of Premium Ace Pass Plus. The voucher is not tied to a specific season and can be saved for a future season, according to Bandai Namco’s FAQ. The voucher alone does not establish which season’s aircraft you will receive; check the current reward lineup before redeeming. The publisher’s official game page and FAQ cover the preorder bonus, Season 1 aircraft, and voucher details.

What is not yet specified about aircraft unlocks?
The official sources establish a general MRP-based route for additional fighter jets, but do not say how much each aircraft costs or where it appears in progression. They also do not give a complete model-by-model unlock sequence. The roster page lists aircraft and roles, but does not say that every listed plane is immediately available in every mode. Avoid treating a specific mission number, price, or prerequisite as confirmed unless Bandai Namco publishes it.
