Abu Dhabi has agreed to work with Ultrahuman on a two-year research and clinical-validation project for a Biological Health Age model. The proposed model would combine clinical biomarker data with wearable health data. It has not launched, and the announcement does not establish that Ultrahuman technology is already integrated into the Sahatna health app.
What Abu Dhabi is doing with Ultrahuman
On 12 October 2026, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) announced a strategic two-year memorandum of understanding with Ultrahuman Healthcare SP LLC. The partners plan to conduct joint scientific research and clinical validation of a Biological Health Age model, with responsible use of health data as a stated part of the work. Abu Dhabi Media Office’s announcement describes a development project, not a finished public feature.

The stated aim is to help people understand how areas such as cardiovascular health, sleep, metabolism and recovery relate to long-term health, and to support earlier intervention and more personalised recommendations. Those are intended benefits; no outcomes or predictive performance have been reported.

Will the model be available in Sahatna?
Sahatna is Abu Dhabi’s existing integrated resident health app. The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi announced its launch on 15 October 2024 and said it included wearable wellness metrics such as sleep and steps. That establishes Sahatna’s wearable-health context, but not an Ultrahuman integration. The department’s launch announcement does not describe this later model.

TechCrunch reported on 12 October 2026 that the model was eventually intended to be accessible through government digital-health platforms, including Sahatna and TAMM. It said rollout would be phased, but gave no date. That is a future intention reported by TechCrunch, not evidence that the model is live in either app. Read TechCrunch’s report.
What data would the model use?
The announced approach combines two broad categories of information. The agreement does not specify a laboratory panel, particular wearable signals, how the inputs would be weighted, or which devices would be compatible.

Ultrahuman’s Ring AIR is one example of a consumer health-tracking ring; it is not identified as a requirement for the initiative. The agreement discusses wearable data generally, and TechCrunch describes the intended model as wearable-agnostic. Neither source establishes that owning a particular ring is necessary or sufficient to receive a future estimate. Ultrahuman’s UAE Ring AIR product page describes the ring’s health-tracking features.
What is known about privacy and validation?
ADPHC says data will remain within the emirate and identifies confidentiality, governance, clinical oversight and privacy protections as commitments. The announcement does not provide a technical audit or detailed implementation design.

TechCrunch reported that Ultrahuman CEO Mohit Kumar said the company would deploy an algorithm on UAE data and would not have access to personally identifiable information through the program. That is Kumar’s description as reported by TechCrunch, not an independent assessment of the system’s safeguards.
Important details remain unspecified, including the participating population, consent process, model architecture, validation protocol, how results would be shared and how devices would qualify. The two-year term describes the MoU framework; it is not a promised launch deadline. No model accuracy, health-outcome or risk-reduction figure has been published in the announcement or the cited report.

What a Biological Health Age estimate would—and would not—mean
The project’s name does not make a future estimate a diagnosis or a proven measurement of how quickly one person is ageing. The stated purpose is to develop and clinically validate a model using different kinds of health data. Until validation results and the method are published, there is no basis to treat an estimate as a substitute for medical assessment or as proof that an intervention will prevent disease.

That explains the authority’s rationale; it is not a finding that the model has already improved health outcomes.
