Abakkus Mutual Fund and JioBlackRock Mutual Fund each filed draft documents with SEBI for three proposed schemes. The regulator’s filing list records the six entries on 8 and 9 October 2026; the latest verified status is draft filing, not approval or launch. The proposals span three Abakkus hybrid strategies, two JioBlackRock target-maturity debt index funds and a JioBlackRock silver ETF.

What the six draft schemes are

How the proposed strategies differ

Abakkus: three distinct hybrid approaches

The Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund proposes a wide range for both equity and debt, with its stated approach centered on adjusting the mix between those asset classes. The Aggressive Hybrid Fund proposes a predominantly equity allocation while also allowing specified exposure to fixed income, commodity derivatives, gold and silver ETFs, and InvIT units. The Arbitrage Fund is a separate strategy: its reported equity range and debt or money-market allocation include margin money used for derivatives transactions. These labels describe the proposals, not their results.

#1 Best Overall

JioBlackRock: two target-maturity debt index funds

Both proposed index funds would invest primarily in fixed-income securities from a named CRISIL-IBX index, with a reported 0–5% allocation to debt and money-market instruments, cash and equivalents. Their stated index exposures and target dates differ: the NBFC index fund is linked to June 2027, while the Financial Services index fund is linked to September 2027. Economic Times describes the first as having relatively low interest-rate risk and relatively low credit risk, and the second as having moderate interest-rate risk and relatively low credit risk. Those are reported risk descriptors, not guarantees or evidence of returns.

JioBlackRock: silver price tracking

The Silver ETF proposal is unlike the two debt index funds: it is designed to track the domestic price of silver, with a reported 95–100% allocation to silver and silver-related instruments. Its value would therefore be tied to silver exposure rather than to a target-maturity fixed-income index.

Filing dates and what SEBI’s list establishes

SEBI’s mutual-fund filing list categorizes the entries as drafts. It records 8 October 2026 for all three Abakkus schemes and the JioBlackRock Silver ETF, and 9 October 2026 for JioBlackRock’s two index schemes. The list corroborates filing dates and draft status; it does not establish that the schemes received final approval, published final offer documents or launched. The entries can be checked in SEBI’s mutual-fund filing list.

Reported minimum applications

Economic Times reported a ₹500 minimum lump-sum application for each of the six proposals. It also reported a monthly SIP minimum of ₹500, in multiples of ₹1 thereafter and with at least six instalments, for the three Abakkus schemes and JioBlackRock’s two index funds. The report did not give a SIP minimum for the Silver ETF. These are reported proposal-stage terms; they do not mean subscriptions are open or that an application can currently be made.

What investors should take from the proposals

The six filings offer a snapshot of proposed product designs, not a record of operating funds. The available report provides no performance histories for these newly proposed schemes. Allocation ranges, benchmarks, target dates and risk descriptions help distinguish the proposals, but do not establish future returns, guaranteed income or suitability for any individual.
