The claim that a forgotten PS2 game is available on PS5 for $2.39 is not verified. The game has not been identified, and no current official PlayStation Store listing was established to confirm its availability, platform version, region, or price.
What the available information establishes
A 2024 ResetEra sale discussion mentions XIII, a PS5 version, and a £2.39 purchase. That is an older user discussion, uses pounds rather than dollars, and does not prove that XIII is the game named in the headline or that the offer is current.

What needs checking before treating the claim as news
- Game identity: The headline does not name the game or establish which PS2 release it refers to.
- PS5 compatibility: A listing could be for a native PS5 game, a PS4 version playable on PS5, or an emulated PS2 Classics release. No version is confirmed here.
- Price and region: The asserted $2.39 price has not been confirmed for a particular storefront region or currency, and no offer end date is established.
- What is being sold: There is no verified listing showing whether the offer is for a full game or an add-on, or what the purchase includes.
How to verify the offer
- Find the game’s exact title and open its product page in the PlayStation Store for your account’s region.
- Check the product page for the platform version and compatibility details; do not assume that a PS2 game listing is a native PS5 release.
- Confirm the displayed price, currency, offer end date, and whether the listing is for the full game or additional content.
Until a named game and current official regional listing can be matched, the $2.39 PS5 offer should be treated as an unverified headline claim—not as a confirmed sale.
