For most compact kitchens, start with a 24-inch TV; choose a 15.6-inch screen when counter or cabinet space is tight, or consider a 32-inch model if you have more room and watch from farther away. Before choosing, measure the installation spot and compare the exact model’s apps, inputs, audio features and mounting requirements.

Match screen size to the viewing distance
A 15.6- to 24-inch screen is a practical range to consider for a small kitchen viewed from a few feet away. A 32-inch screen may be more comfortable in a larger kitchen or at a greater distance, but can overwhelm a crowded counter. LG describes 24–32 inches as a common small-TV range and advises considering viewing distance and intended use; those are starting points, not a substitute for measuring your space. Choose a spot before choosing a mount
A counter corner is the simplest option if the TV will not take up needed work space. A wall mount can free the counter, while a flip-down under-cabinet screen can tuck away when not in use. Measure width, height and depth, account for cabinet clearance and viewing angle, and keep the set away from cooking heat and steam. The available guidance does not establish a universal safe-distance number for heat or steam.
For any wall or cabinet installation, confirm the exact TV’s mounting pattern, weight and installation instructions, then match them to the mount and mounting surface. A reported VESA pattern for one model is not enough to establish that a particular mount is compatible. The available guide reports 200 × 200 for the Insignia pick; check its exact SKU and manual. RTINGS says the Samsung QN32Q8FAAFXZA can be wall-mounted, but its specifications and mounting instructions should also be checked for the chosen setup.

Compare picture, apps, audio and connections
Resolution and viewing conditions
The reported picks include 720p and 1080p screens. For a close viewing position, compare resolution alongside screen size, content and price; for a more distant position, the difference may matter less. LG’s general guidance notes that HD can remain sharp on compact screens at typical distances. Do not assume that every model in a screen-size category has the same resolution.
Smart platform and app support
The named options represent Fire TV, Roku and Google TV, while the Westinghouse model is described as non-smart. Start with the apps you actually use, including any TV-provider app, and check support for the exact device and software version. The Feihe guide’s reported provider-app limitation is a reason to verify compatibility directly rather than assume an app will be available.

Audio and controls
Kitchen noise can make speech clarity and convenient controls important. Compare remote features, headphone options and whether audio can continue with the screen off if that suits your routine. The guide reports a headphone jack on the Insignia, Bluetooth headphone mode and screen-off audio on the Roku, and a camera shutter plus microphone and camera controls on the Echo Show 15. These are feature claims, not results from a standardized sound test.
Inputs and tuner
Count the connections needed for your setup before buying. An antenna needs a compatible tuner and antenna input; a cable box, console or streaming device may need HDMI. Also check whether you require USB, AV, VGA or audio output. Port lists and tuner support can differ across closely named models, so use the current listing or manual for the exact SKU.

When a 32-inch TV makes more sense
If a 24-inch screen seems small for your viewing distance and the kitchen has room for a larger set, RTINGS’ guide, updated September 30, 2026, names the Samsung QN32Q8FAAFXZA (Q8F) its best 32-inch TV. RTINGS lists 4K resolution, Tizen smart features and wall mounting, and says it is bright enough for glare in a moderately lit room. It also notes that the set is expensive and has raised blacks in dark-room viewing. These are RTINGS’ assessment and test findings, not a kitchen-specific test conducted for this article. A 32-inch set is a larger-kitchen alternative, not a default upgrade: consider whether the extra screen area fits the room and viewing position. RTINGS also notes that small 32-inch TVs are less common than they used to be and that smaller models can give up resolution or advanced picture features. Its guide removed a former Roku Select 2023 pick after it became impossible to buy, illustrating why current stock should be checked.

Questions to settle before buying
- Measure the intended counter, wall or cabinet position, including depth and clearance.
- Choose a screen size for the distance at which you will actually watch.
- Confirm resolution, required apps and any provider-app compatibility on the exact model.
- Count the HDMI, antenna/coax, USB, AV, VGA and audio connections your setup needs.
- For a mount, match the exact TV’s pattern and weight to the mount and installation surface.
- Check current specifications, availability and installation requirements; product details and stock can change.
A 2024 KIVI catalog describes a dedicated 32-inch Full HD KitchenTV supplied with an adjustable wall bracket, but that older catalog does not establish present-day availability. Treat it as evidence that kitchen-oriented TV designs exist, not as confirmation that this model can currently be purchased.
