A magnetic power bank can earn its place even when you do not use wireless charging: its magnets can hold the battery against your phone while a cable does the charging. That was the unexpected advantage Max Freeman-Mills found with a LISEN 10,000mAh bank and an iPhone 15 Pro in a T3 review published August 26, 2026.
Why use magnets if you are charging by cable?
The magnets solve a practical handling problem. Instead of carrying a phone in one hand and a separate battery in the other, you can attach the battery to the back of the phone and connect the two with a short USB-C cable. The phone and power bank stay together while charging.
Freeman-Mills described using the included cable for wired charging while the magnets secured the battery in place. In his iPhone 15 Pro setup, he reported charging at up to 45W. That is the reviewer’s experience with that phone and setup, not a guarantee for every phone or cable. The available review does not provide a full compatibility matrix.

These are figures reported by T3, not independent laboratory measurements. Maximum output depends on the connected phone, cable, and charging protocols; the review does not establish that every compatible setup reaches the stated peaks.
Do not assume the reviewed unit is the current LISEN P604
T3 does not give a model number for the power bank in its review. LISEN’s product page currently lists a P604 Qi2.2 10,000mAh bank with up to 25W wireless output and up to 65W wired output. That wired rating differs from T3’s reported 45W, so the reviewed product cannot be confidently identified as the P604.

The P604 page says magnetic attachment requires a magnetic case or a phone that supports magnetic charging. Those compatibility details apply to the P604 listing; they should not be treated as confirmed specifications for T3’s unidentified review unit. Check the exact model and your phone’s charging support before buying.

The useful takeaway is about how to use a magnetic battery: attachment and charging method are separate choices. You can use magnets to keep the power bank physically coupled to a phone and still charge through a cable. Wireless output is an option, not the only reason to consider magnetic attachment.
