Choose the Galaxy S25 for a smaller phone and zoom flexibility
At 162 g and 6.2 inches, the Galaxy S25 is the more portable option on the cited specifications. Its listed 10 MP telephoto camera and 3x optical zoom provide a dedicated zoom option that the cited POCO listing does not identify. That is a hardware distinction, not proof of overall camera quality: megapixel counts and lens configuration cannot establish which phone takes better photos in every situation.
Consider the POCO X8 Power 5G for a bigger display and battery capacity
The POCO is reported to have a 6.83-inch display and 10,000 mAh battery, compared with Samsung’s 6.2-inch screen and 3,885 mAh rated capacity. Its listed 100 W charging is also a prominent specification. Capacity alone does not show how long a phone lasts in real use, and figures using different capacity conventions should not be treated as directly equivalent endurance measurements.

What is the price difference?
A defensible price difference is not established. The cited 2026 India listings put the POCO X8 Power 5G at ₹35,999 for 8 GB + 128 GB and ₹38,999 for 8 GB + 256 GB, while the Samsung source is a U.S. product page for a 256 GB model—not a current India price listing. Subtracting these figures would mix markets and price bases.
For a useful comparison, check both models in the country where you plan to buy, on the same date, and match storage as closely as possible. Record the RAM and storage configuration, seller, and whether the amount is a regular price or a temporary offer. The POCO India figures above were reported by 91mobiles; they may change.

Availability and regional details to check
Samsung Mobile Press says the Galaxy S25 series became available worldwide on February 7, 2025. For India, Gadgets 360 reported that POCO announced September 4, 2026 as the launch date for the X8 Power 5G and X8 5G. This describes reported India launch timing; it does not establish availability in every country. Samsung’s announcement and Gadgets 360’s launch report provide that context.

POCO’s official global specification result for the POCO X8 describes a different phone, with a 6.83-inch screen, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 50 MP main and 2 MP depth cameras, an 8,340 mAh battery, and 67 W charging. Those figures are not specifications for the POCO X8 Power 5G. The Power model figures in this comparison come from secondary listings, including 91mobiles; an official regional POCO X8 Power 5G specifications page is not established by the cited material.
