A OnePlus Alert Slider replacement must match the exact phone model and the failed component. On the OnePlus 6, for example, specialist retailers list the exterior slider and the internal switch as separate parts; neither listing establishes that it fits another OnePlus phone or is the right fix for every fault. Identify your model, check OnePlus support for your region, and distinguish the external control from the internal mechanism before buying a part.
What the Alert Slider does
The Alert Slider is a physical control on supported OnePlus phones. The OnePlus 6 manual places it on the phone’s upper edge and describes three notification profiles: Silent, Vibration, and Ring. The OnePlus Open manual uses the labels Silent, Vibrate Mode, and Ring Mode, and notes that Do Not Disturb also affects sound and vibration. These device-specific descriptions are a reason to check the manual for your exact phone rather than assume every model behaves identically. See the OnePlus manuals.
Identify the part before ordering
“Alert Slider replacement” can mean the exterior piece your finger moves or the internal switch that registers its position. A specialist retailer lists those as distinct OnePlus 6 parts: an external OnePlus 6 Alert Slider and a separate OnePlus 6 Alert Slider switch. Those listings establish only that the retailer advertises parts for that model; they do not authenticate the parts, diagnose your phone, or establish fit for another model.
- Confirm the exact model and variant. Do not search or order using only “OnePlus” or “Alert Slider.” The sourced replacement-part example is specifically for OnePlus 6.
- Describe what is physically wrong. A loose or visibly damaged exterior control is different from a switch that moves but does not change the phone’s profile. Symptoms such as “dead alert slider,” “stuck on vibrate,” or “not working” describe what a user notices; by themselves, they do not prove which component failed.
- Check what the listing includes. Confirm whether it is the exterior slider, internal switch, or another assembly, and review the seller, return terms, and any authenticity claim. A retailer’s use of “genuine” is not independent verification.
Check official repair options first
OnePlus provides regional support and repair routes, but availability and process depend on your country. Check the current OnePlus repair page and warranty or service eligibility before opening the phone or purchasing an aftermarket part. Support notices can change; the US support page displayed a service-center transition and case-tracking notice when checked, so rely on the live regional page for current instructions.

Where to buy a replacement
The available product listings do not establish that the cited parts are sold on Amazon, currently in stock, or compatible beyond the model named. If you shop through Amazon or another marketplace, search only after identifying the phone—for the sourced example, the appropriately narrow phrase is “OnePlus 6 alert slider replacement”—and verify the exact model, component, seller, availability, and return terms on the live listing. Do not treat a search result or a similar-looking part as proof of compatibility.
What to know before attempting a repair
The OnePlus user manuals explain how to use the control, not how to replace it. iFixit’s OnePlus 6 teardown offers mechanism context, but it is not a model-specific repair procedure for every OnePlus phone. The available information does not support a generic disassembly walkthrough. If you cannot confirm the correct part and a suitable procedure for your exact model, use an appropriate repair service rather than improvising from another model’s teardown.
