On a computer, go to app.asana.com or asana.com, enter the email address for your Asana account, and follow the sign-in method available to you. On a phone or tablet, use the Asana app: Asana does not support mobile-browser access.

Log in to Asana in a desktop browser

  1. Open app.asana.com or asana.com.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your Asana account.
  3. Continue with the sign-in option shown: email and password, Google, or your organization’s SAML/SSO sign-in. Your organization’s settings determine which methods are available or required.

If your organization uses SAML, enter your organization email and leave the password field empty when prompted. Your company may also provide a custom login portal associated with its domain.

Sign in using the Asana desktop app

  1. Open the Asana desktop app and enter your account email.
  2. When the app opens a browser, complete credential verification there.
  3. Choose “Open Asana” in the browser prompt to return to the desktop app.

Asana’s current help article lists the desktop app for Mac and Windows and says it is not supported on Linux. Because the listed minimum operating-system versions can change, check Asana’s desktop app help page for current requirements.

Log in on Android

  1. Open the Asana app on your Android device.
  2. For Google single sign-on, choose “Enter with Google.” For password or SAML sign-in, tap “Log In.”
  3. Follow the prompts for your account and organization.

Some organization-managed sign-in or device-enrollment flows have additional requirements; follow the instructions supplied by your organization rather than assuming one SAML setup applies to all accounts. See Asana’s Android app instructions.

Log in on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Asana iOS app and choose the option to log in to an existing account.
  2. Choose the available sign-in method: Google, email by magic link or password, your organization’s SAML identity provider, or 1Password if it is installed.
  3. Complete any prompts from your organization’s sign-in provider.

Asana says Chrome on iPad does not support its full web experience and directs mobile and tablet users to the iOS app. See the iOS app instructions.

Fix common Asana sign-in problems

You forgot your password

On the login page, select “Forgot your password?” and follow the reset instructions sent by email. If you originally signed up with Google and do not have a separate Asana password, Asana says the reset process can be used to create one. See Asana’s account help.

Your organization requires SSO or SAML

Use the organization’s required sign-in method and the email address associated with your membership. If your organization requires SSO, choosing another method may redirect you. Guest access can be treated differently; if you cannot get into a company-managed account, contact your organization’s administrator. Asana explains the available SAML and authentication settings and Microsoft identity-provider sign-in.

Asana asks for a two-factor authentication code

Enter the code generated by the authenticator app linked to your account. If you cannot sign in with two-factor authentication, contact Asana Support. Some eligible enterprise administrators can reset two-factor authentication, subject to account and domain limits.
