There are not ten distinct Kundali programs with current, vendor-verified Windows 11 support. Several comparison articles inflate their lists by repeating the same products or by calling web, mobile, and cloud services Windows desktop software. Jagannatha Hora is also frequently described as “fully compatible” with Windows 11, although its official requirements page only lists Windows through Windows 7.
The five products below are the most useful options to consider. Soul Yatri Jyotish, Maitreya, and Jyotish Sarathi have the clearest current Windows support information. Soul Yatri Jyotish is the strongest choice if you want a current Windows 11 application rather than an old program that merely happens to run under compatibility settings. The publisher lists support for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. The current release is v0.11.15.

The regular Windows installer is approximately 347 MB; a managed MSI package is approximately 418 MB. The publisher recommends at least 1 GB of free space for installation, local data, and updates.

How to install it on Windows 11
- Open the official Soul Yatri download page.
- Download the Windows
.exeor managed.msipackage. - Start the installer and complete the installation.
- Open Start menu → Soul Yatri Jyotish.
Windows SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” because the current installer is not signed with a recognised publisher certificate. Do not treat the warning as proof that the file is malicious—or as proof that it is safe. Confirm that the file came from the official release page and check any checksum or signature the publisher provides before running it.
Soul Yatri is best described as local-first, not completely offline. Core chart calculations, ephemeris work, and bundled floor-plan analysis can run on the device. Internet access is still needed for the initial download, sign-in and entitlement, marketplace features, real-time consultations, media uploads, optional cloud sync, and update checks or downloads.
To change calculation and display behavior, use Tools, reports & settings → Settings & customization. Available settings include Lahiri, Raman, KP/Krishnamurti, and Fagan-Bradley ayanamsas, chart style, house system, node settings, interface language, dark mode, and astrologer profile.
2. Maitreya 8.2
Maitreya is the best fit for users who prefer open-source software and want one desktop program that covers both Vedic and Western astrology. The current stable release is 8.2, published on September 30, 2025. The Windows download is a 64-bit installer named Maitreya-winsetup-8.2.exe.

Maitreya includes divisional and Western chart styles, dashas, Ashtakavarga, Shadbala, yogas, solar charts, transits, progressions, partner charts, ephemerides, eclipses, and Hora. Release 8.2 also fixed a Windows-only crash in PartnerView/Synastry, corrected Ashtakoota Dina calculation, improved handling of time-zone offsets greater than 12 hours, and corrected Hora/Dina-lord display in Base Data view.
Verify the installer before running it

Jyotish Sarathi is a practical option for Windows 11 users who want a current application with explicit 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 support. The listed version is 8.0.27, updated June 29, 2026. It is available through the Microsoft Store, as an .exe download, and through a Google Drive download link supplied by the publisher.

4. MakeMyKundali
MakeMyKundali provides both a Microsoft Store option and a separate Download for Windows option. The publisher’s landing page does not expose a Windows version number or Windows release date, so it is better not to repeat an unverified version number from an old article.
The workflow is simple: Download the App → Enter Birth Details → Explore Your Charts. The birth form requires the date, time, and place of birth. Listed features include KP, Nakshatra Nadi, North/South/East/Western chart styles, D1–D60 divisional charts, Bhava Chalit, Navamsha, Ashtakavarga, Shadbala, Sarvatobhadra Chakra, KP sub-lords, ruling planets, 36-point Guna Milan, dasha predictions, and compatibility analysis.
MakeMyKundali is described as free to start, but the publisher says full access to premium modules requires a subscription. It is therefore a good choice for trying basic chart generation or compatibility tools, but not necessarily the best option if you want every calculation and report without an account or recurring payment.
5. Jagannatha Hora 8.0
Jagannatha Hora, commonly called JHora, remains one of the deepest free Jyotisha applications available for Windows. The official version is 8.0, released January 1, 2016. It includes 23 divisional charts, custom divisional charts up to D-N where N can be 1–300, several house-division systems, Shadbala, Ashtakavarga, 184 yoga types, numerous dasha systems, transits, chakras, Pañcāṅga, KP sub-lords, and four Indian chart styles.

Its calculation controls are unusually extensive. JHora supports Lahiri, Raman, Deva-datta, Krishnamoorthy, Usha-Shashi, Fagan, tropical/no ayanamsa, and user-defined ayanamsas. It also offers geocentric or topocentric positions, true or apparent planetary positions, and mean or true nodes.

There is an important Windows 11 qualification: the publisher’s requirements page lists Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. It does not list Windows 10 or Windows 11. That does not establish that JHora cannot run on Windows 11, but it means “officially fully compatible with Windows 11” is not a supported claim.
Installing JHora
- On the official page, right-click the required ZIP download link.
- Choose Save target as.
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Open the resulting folder and locate the
.exefile. - Double-click it and follow the installer instructions.
The first installer screen may display an unknown publisher warning. The official instructions say to click Run if you decide to allow the installer to proceed. As with any unsigned or legacy installer, verify that you downloaded it from the official site before doing so.
Pick the correct package. jh_update.zip is for an existing JHora installation version 7.3 or higher. The short installer has accurate ephemeris for 1800–2400 AD and a small city atlas. The full installer has accurate ephemeris from 12899 BC to 16900 AD and an atlas of approximately 2.5 million cities. Installing the version-8 update does not automatically add all the ephemeris files in the full package.

Why there are not ten verified choices
A reliable “10 best” list should contain ten different products and should distinguish native Windows software from browser services, mobile apps, and cloud APIs. Current comparison pages do not consistently do that. One published list counts Jagannatha Hora twice and Parashara’s Light twice. It also presents several Windows 11 compatibility claims without vendor evidence; JHora’s own page, for example, stops at Windows 7.

- Confirm architecture: These current installers are intended for 64-bit Windows. Check Settings → System → About → System type before downloading.
- Use the official download page: Avoid repackaged installers from download portals.
- Check the warning: SmartScreen or an unknown-publisher prompt is a reason to verify the source, not a reason to blindly bypass security.
- Keep chart settings consistent: Ayanamsa, house system, node type, time zone, and location data can change the result. Record these settings when comparing two programs.
- Test a known chart: Enter a birth time and place you already use, then compare the ascendant, planetary longitudes, divisional charts, and dasha start times.
