There is no verified official JioCinema.exe installer for Windows 10 or Windows 11. The service formerly known as JioCinema was combined with Disney+ Hotstar as JioHotstar on February 14, 2025. Older JioCinema URLs may redirect to the current service.
On a Windows PC, the supported approach is to open the official JioHotstar website in a desktop browser. You can also install that website as an app-like shortcut in Microsoft Edge, but this creates a Progressive Web App (PWA), not a native Windows program.
How to watch JioCinema on a Windows PC
Use a current version of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or another supported desktop browser.
- Open your browser on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- Go to the official JioCinema website. If it redirects, continue to the JioHotstar website.
- Sign in with your account if required.
- Choose a film, series, sports event, or other programme and start playback.
This method does not require an EXE installer, Android APK, emulator, or Microsoft Store package. It is also the normal option if you only need to stream content on a laptop or desktop.

Install JioHotstar as an app in Microsoft Edge
Edge can save the streaming website as an app-like window. This is useful if you want a Start-menu entry, taskbar icon, or desktop shortcut.
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Visit the official JioCinema/JioHotstar website.
- Select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Apps.
- Select Install this site as an app.
- Confirm the displayed app name and select Install.
- When Edge offers the options, choose whether to pin it to the taskbar, pin it to Start, or create a desktop shortcut.
When launched, the shortcut opens the website in an app-style window. It does not install a separate JioCinema executable and does not add an independent offline-download system.

The Edge option is therefore best understood as a browser shortcut with an app-like interface. Playback still depends on the website, your account, your internet connection, and browser compatibility.
Can you download JioCinema from the Microsoft Store?
Do not assume that a search result or third-party listing is an official JioCinema desktop app. Microsoft’s Store instructions provide the general installation process, but they do not identify a verified native JioCinema Windows package.

To check the Store safely:
- Open Start.
- Type Microsoft Store.
- Select the Microsoft Store application.
- Use the Store search and verify the publisher and listing before installing anything.
If the service is not listed, use the official website in Edge or Chrome instead of downloading an installer from an unrelated website. A page advertising “JioCinema PC Setup,” “JioCinema Windows App,” or “JioCinema.exe” should not be treated as proof of an official release.
Why downloading a JioCinema APK is the wrong Windows method
An APK is an Android application package. It is not a Windows installer. Running one on a PC requires an Android runtime or emulator.
Older guides often recommended Windows Subsystem for Android and the Amazon Appstore on Windows 11. Microsoft says those components stopped being available in the Microsoft Store on March 5, 2025. That makes such guides outdated as a general recommendation. It also does not apply to Windows 10, which never had the same built-in Windows 11 Android-app route.
Installing an APK from an unofficial download site also creates avoidable risks: the file may be modified, bundled with unwanted software, or be an old version that cannot connect to the current service. The browser method avoids those problems.

Windows 10 and Windows 11 compatibility
The browser-based method works on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, provided the computer has a current browser and a connection suitable for video streaming. The Edge site-app feature is also browser-based; it is not dependent on Windows 11’s Android features.

Fixes if the website or shortcut is not working
The old JioCinema address does not open
Use the current JioHotstar web destination rather than repeatedly trying an old bookmark. Because JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar were brought together under JioHotstar, older links may redirect or stop behaving as expected.
Video playback fails
- Update Edge or Chrome.
- Reload the page and sign in again.
- Temporarily test in a private window to identify an extension or cached-data problem.
- Disable extensions that interfere with video playback, particularly ad-blocking or script-blocking extensions.
- Check whether your network, account, or plan permits the content you selected.
The Edge app shortcut is missing
Open Edge and repeat the path three-dot menu → Apps → Install this site as an app. If the option is unavailable, update Edge and confirm that you are viewing the actual streaming website rather than a search result or an unrelated page.

This is not a reason to download a supposed JioCinema installer. Microsoft lists several possible Store causes, including regional availability, family settings, device incompatibility, a pending Windows restart, the app being removed, or account authorization issues.

After installing Windows updates, restart the computer and try again. You can also reset the Store cache:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter
wsreset.exeexactly. - Select OK.
A blank Command Prompt window may appear for about ten seconds and then close. Microsoft Store should open automatically. This resets the Store cache; it does not create a JioCinema app that is not officially listed.
Is offline viewing available on a Windows PC?
Do not expect the browser or Edge site shortcut to provide mobile-style offline downloads. Current PC guidance describes Windows access as web streaming. If offline viewing is offered for particular content, it is generally associated with an official mobile application or supported device rather than desktop browser playback.

Safety checklist before downloading anything
- Prefer the official JioHotstar website opened directly in your browser.
- Do not download a file named
JioCinema.exeunless its authenticity is independently verified through an official JioStar or JioHotstar channel. - Do not install an APK just because a guide labels it a “PC version.”
- Do not disable Windows security features to run an unverified setup file.
- Check the domain carefully before entering account credentials.
- Use the Edge site-app feature if you want a desktop-style shortcut without installing unknown software.

For Windows 10 and Windows 11, there is no verified standalone JioCinema desktop installer to download. Open the current JioHotstar service in Edge or Chrome and stream through the browser.
