The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (SM8735) is a 4 nm mobile platform with a Kryo CPU, Adreno GPU, LPDDR5X support and Qualcomm’s stated peak CPU frequencies of 3.2 GHz for its prime core and 3.0 GHz for performance cores. In one iQOO Neo 10 test, it scored 2,104,905 in AnTuTu and 2,158 single-core / 6,989 multi-core in Geekbench 6. Those are phone-specific results, not guaranteed scores for every handset using the chip.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 specifications
Qualcomm identifies the platform as part number SM8735 and specifies a 4 nm process. Its product brief lists a 64-bit Kryo CPU and an Adreno GPU; it does not establish that every phone will use the same cooling, power limits or software configuration.

These are platform capabilities, not a checklist of features guaranteed in every retail phone. Manufacturers select the display, memory capacity, connectivity implementation and other components, and may impose their own performance limits. What benchmark scores does Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 get?
Benchmark scores vary by handset and test conditions. Beebom reports testing the iQOO Neo 10 and recording 2,104,905 in AnTuTu, plus 2,158 single-core and 6,989 multi-core in Geekbench 6. Its reported AnTuTu breakdown was 483,422 CPU, 891,935 GPU, 388,619 memory and 340,929 UX. These figures describe that test phone and report, not an independent chip-only score. Beebom’s benchmark report provides its device-level results.

Notebookcheck’s living database lists AnTuTu v10 scores from 1,975,046 to 2,043,045 for three devices: Nothing Phone (3), Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Poco F7. It reports a mean of 2,010,102. That mean aggregates device entries rather than representing a controlled laboratory result for the processor alone. The figures are AnTuTu v10 and should not be directly compared with scores from another AnTuTu version. Notebookcheck’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 database is updated as device results are added.
How to compare the numbers
- Match the benchmark and version: AnTuTu v10 is not interchangeable with another AnTuTu release, and Geekbench 5 results should not be mixed with Geekbench 6.
- Compare the same handset model where possible. Cooling, firmware and manufacturer-selected power limits can change results and sustained performance.
- Treat short benchmark scores as snapshots, not a promise of long gaming performance or everyday responsiveness.
How fast is it compared with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3?
Qualcomm advertises 31% improved CPU performance and up to 49% improved GPU performance relative to Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. These are Qualcomm’s platform-level comparisons, not a guarantee that every phone will show those gains in every app or game. Qualcomm’s product brief cautions: “Results will vary, depending on OEM implementation and other factors.”

What does the throttling result mean?
In Beebom’s 15-minute CPU throttling test on the iQOO Neo 10, the reported maximum was 549,579 GIPS, average 485,827 GIPS and minimum 414,382 GIPS; Beebom also reported 80% retention for that test. These measurements reflect the handset and the publisher’s protocol. They are useful as context for sustained CPU behavior, but should not be treated as a universal result for all phones with this processor.

Devices identified in the cited listings include the Xiaomi Poco F7 and Nothing Phone (3); Beebom’s benchmark device was the iQOO Neo 10, and Notebookcheck also lists the Xiaomi Pad 8. A platform’s appearance in a device listing does not establish availability in every country or confirm that every regional SKU has identical specifications. Check the exact model and region before buying.

The processor is integrated into a device rather than established here as a standalone consumer upgrade. For a phone comparison, verify the chipset in the manufacturer’s specification for the precise model, then compare the complete device: memory and storage configuration, display, cooling and connectivity can affect the experience beyond the processor name.

Gaming
Qualcomm lists hardware ray tracing with global illumination and Vulkan 1.3 support among the platform’s gaming capabilities. Game support and the phone maker’s thermal design determine whether those capabilities are useful in a particular title and for extended play.

Display and memory
The platform supports displays up to WQHD+ at 144 Hz and LPDDR5X memory up to 4800 MHz, with density up to 24 GB. Those are ceilings for supported configurations; the phone manufacturer chooses the actual screen resolution, refresh rate and installed memory.
Connectivity and video
The listed 5G downlink and Wi-Fi speeds are peak platform figures. Real throughput depends on network availability, region, signal, router and device implementation. The brief also lists Bluetooth 6.0 and hardware decoding for H.265, VP9 and AV1.
