The Pixel 11 Pro costs $200 more at Google’s US launch prices, and its strongest reasons to buy are a sharper, brighter display and upgraded camera hardware. Both phones share a 6.3-inch screen size, Google Tensor G6, and seven years of promised updates. Choose the Pixel 11 if those shared features matter more than the Pro’s display and camera upgrades; choose the Pro if they matter enough to justify the premium.

Specifications are from Google’s Pixel 11 technical specifications, and published update commitments are from Google’s Pixel 11 launch announcement. The 30× and 120× figures are listed zoom ceilings, not independent measures of image quality. Google’s specifications also list 30+ hours of battery life for both phones; that is a manufacturer claim, not a side-by-side independent result.

How much more does the Pixel 11 Pro cost?

Google’s published US launch starting prices were $899 for the Pixel 11 and $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro, a $200 difference before taxes, discounts, trade-ins, or carrier offers. Google’s August 12, 2026 launch announcement introduced preorders and said retail availability would begin August 20; its August 25, 2026 availability announcement confirmed the phones were on shelves by then. These are US launch prices, not guaranteed current checkout prices. Offers and the amount payable can vary.

What does the Pixel 11 Pro add?

A sharper, brighter display with a lower refresh-rate floor

Both models have a 6.3-inch display, but the Pro’s panel has more pixels, higher pixel density, and a higher listed peak brightness: 1280 × 2856 and 495 ppi, with up to 3,600 nits, compared with 1080 × 2424 and 422 ppi, with up to 3,000 nits on the Pixel 11. The Pro uses LTPO and can lower its refresh rate to 1Hz; the Pixel 11’s listed range is 60–120Hz. The figures describe Google’s specifications, not comparative display testing.

  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Higher-resolution rear cameras and a higher listed zoom ceiling

The most substantial camera specification differences are the ultrawide and telephoto cameras. The Pixel 11 lists a 13MP ultrawide and a 10.8MP 5× telephoto, while the Pro lists 48MP for each. Their main wide cameras are 48MP and 50MP respectively. Google lists up to 30× Super Zoom on the Pixel 11 and up to 120× Pro Zoom on the Pro; those maximum figures do not establish how well either phone captures detail at a given zoom level.

The Pro also has a 42MP autofocus front camera, compared with 10.5MP autofocus on the Pixel 11. These resolution figures alone do not determine photo quality.

More RAM only on higher-storage Pro configurations

At 256GB, both phones have 12GB RAM. The Pixel 11 remains at 12GB with 512GB storage, while the Pro’s 512GB and 1TB versions have 16GB RAM. The extra RAM is therefore tied to the Pro’s larger storage configurations, not every Pro model.

Is the Pixel 11 Pro worth $200 more?

The Pro is easiest to justify if you will make use of its display or camera upgrades, or want the 16GB RAM configuration available with 512GB or 1TB storage. For a buyer focused on the shared 6.3-inch size, Tensor G6, and long update commitment, the Pixel 11 keeps those core specifications while avoiding the launch-price premium.

Google lists a larger typical battery capacity for the Pixel 11—4,985mAh versus 4,850mAh for the Pro—but capacity by itself does not establish which phone lasts longer in real use. The published 30+ hour claim for both is not a comparative independent result.

Which Pixel 11 should you choose?

Choose the Pixel 11 if

  • You want the lower US launch starting price and do not place high value on the Pro’s display or higher-resolution camera hardware.
  • You want a compact 6.3-inch phone with Tensor G6 and a rear camera system that still includes a 5× optical telephoto camera.
  • You prefer the lighter phone or the larger stated typical battery capacity, without assuming either specification guarantees better battery life.

Choose the Pixel 11 Pro if

  • You prioritize a higher-resolution, brighter display with LTPO refresh down to 1Hz.
  • You want the higher-resolution listed ultrawide, telephoto, or front camera, while understanding that specifications do not replace image-quality testing.
  • You need 16GB RAM and are choosing a 512GB or 1TB configuration.
