The Galaxy S24 FE is the better fit if you want a larger 6.7-inch display and a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera. Choose the Google Pixel 10a if you prefer a smaller 6.3-inch phone and its wide-and-ultrawide camera setup. Both have seven-year software support commitments, but the available US price references are from different dates and channels, so they do not establish which phone costs less today.

Specifications are not a substitute for matched camera, speed, or battery tests. In particular, megapixel counts and battery capacity alone do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use.
How much do they cost?
The verified US reference prices are $649.99 for the Galaxy S24 FE at its September 2024 launch and $499 as the Pixel 10a’s Google Store US starting price in the cited 2026 product-page snapshot. The $150 arithmetic gap between those figures is not a current price difference: one is a dated launch price and the other is a store starting-price reference that may change with promotions.

Display and size: bigger screen or smaller phone?
Galaxy S24 FE: more screen area
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 60/120 Hz refresh. It is the more suitable option on paper if your priority is a larger screen for viewing content or working across more display area.
Pixel 10a: a smaller display
The Pixel 10a has a 6.3-inch 1080 x 2424 pOLED display with a 60–120 Hz refresh rate. Its smaller listed size makes it the more compact choice of these two, though the specifications alone do not establish overall phone dimensions or one-handed comfort.

Camera systems: optical telephoto versus computational zoom
Galaxy S24 FE has a dedicated 3x telephoto camera
Samsung lists three rear cameras: a 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultrawide, and an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. That dedicated telephoto lens is the clearest specification-based reason to favor the S24 FE if you want optical zoom hardware.
Pixel 10a uses two rear cameras and Super Res Zoom
Google lists a 48 MP wide camera with OIS and a 13 MP ultrawide, plus Super Res Zoom up to 8x. It does not list a dedicated telephoto camera. A stated maximum zoom range does not mean the same thing as optical zoom, and these specifications cannot establish which phone takes better photographs. Processors and battery: what the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The S24 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2400e, while the Pixel 10a uses Google Tensor G4. Without matched independent benchmarks, the processor names alone do not support an overall speed or gaming verdict.
Samsung lists a typical battery capacity of 4,700 mAh; Google lists 5,100 mAh and claims more than 30 hours under its stated conditions. The capacity figures do not establish comparative battery life, and Google’s claim should not be treated as a direct test against Samsung. Charging and included equipment
Galaxy S24 FE
Samsung says the phone can reach up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes using a separately sold 25 W adapter and a 3 A USB-C cable. It also supports fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.

Pixel 10a
Google says the Pixel 10a can reach up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a separately sold 45 W USB-C PPS charger or higher, and lists Qi-certified wireless charging. Google also claims 30+ hours under its stated conditions; that claim is not a head-to-head battery result.

Software support and storage availability
Both manufacturers state seven-year support commitments, but the categories differ. Samsung promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates counted from the S24 FE’s global launch. Google says the Pixel 10a receives seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. The wording is not identical, so compare the commitments as published rather than treating them as precisely the same update schedule.
Samsung’s global specifications list 8 GB RAM with 128 GB or 256 GB storage, and its global announcement notes that 512 GB is available in some markets. Configurations can vary by carrier, country, or region. Google lists 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage, while also cautioning that availability varies by region and channel. Confirm the exact capacity offered where you plan to buy.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Galaxy S24 FE if its larger 6.7-inch display or dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera better matches your priorities.
- Choose the Pixel 10a if you prefer its smaller 6.3-inch display and a rear-camera system built around wide and ultrawide cameras with Super Res Zoom.
- Let current local pricing decide if neither hardware difference settles it. The cited US prices have different dates and price bases, so check the same storage tier, seller type, condition, carrier lock, and region before judging value.
Neither chipset label, camera megapixel count, nor battery-capacity figure is enough to declare a performance, photo, or endurance winner. If those are your deciding factors, seek independent comparisons that test both phones under the same conditions.
