To watch a 3D movie offline, find a licensed store that offers that exact film in 3D and allows downloads on your device—or use a 3D Blu-ray disc with compatible playback equipment. A service’s download feature alone does not mean a particular title is available in 3D, and a digital copy is not necessarily a standalone video file.
Choose the kind of offline copy you need
First decide whether you want a download inside a streaming or store app, or a physical disc. A service-managed download is usually tied to the service and its playback rules; it should not be assumed to be an unrestricted video file that can be moved to any device.

- App-based download: A licensed service stores a supported title for offline playback in its app. Confirm both 3D availability and download support for your device.
- 3D Blu-ray: A physical disc plays through a compatible 3D Blu-ray player and display. Check the complete playback chain, including the connection between devices.
Download a digital 3D movie
- Identify the playback device and app. Check the 3D playback requirements for your exact TV, projector, or headset and the app you plan to use. A title being sold in 3D and a device being able to play it in 3D are separate requirements.
- Search for the exact film in a licensed store. Verify that the listing specifies a 3D edition. Do not treat an HD or 4K listing, a service’s general download feature, or a participating retailer listing as proof that the film is available in 3D.
- Check offline-download and regional terms. Confirm that the service permits offline playback on your device and is available where you live. Movies Anywhere advertises movie downloads for offline viewing, but its account eligibility is limited by residency requirements in the United States and specified territories. See its terms of use.
- Purchase or redeem only after checking the edition. If you are using a digital code, read the code and service terms to establish what version it provides. A code may provide a digital copy without providing a 3D edition.
- Download through the service’s app. Follow that service’s current instructions for downloading the purchased or eligible title, then test playback in the intended app and device before relying on it offline.
Apple Vision Pro: Apple’s specific 3D upgrade route
For Apple Vision Pro, Apple says an eligible HD or 4K film purchased through the Apple Store can be upgraded to 3D at no charge when a 3D version exists. This is a specific Apple Store purchase route, not a general upgrade for any digital movie. Check Apple’s 3D film upgrade eligibility guidance before buying.
Apple says the upgrade does not apply to films purchased through Movies Anywhere, Vudu, or similar services, or to SD code redemptions and digital copies of DVD or Blu-ray. Keep this limitation scoped to the Apple Vision Pro upgrade: it does not establish how other devices or services handle 3D purchases.

- A teenage Peter Parker grapples with both high school and amazing super-human crises as his alter-ego Spider-Man.
Use a 3D Blu-ray disc
A 3D Blu-ray is the physical-media option when a compatible disc, player, and display are available. The cited Philips player documentation describes Blu-ray 3D playback for that documented player; it does not establish compatibility for every player, console, television, or projector.
- Confirm that the disc is specifically a 3D Blu-ray edition.
- Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the player and display, and verify that the connection between them supports the intended 3D playback.
- If a pack includes a digital code, check the exact redemption terms and resulting edition. Not every pack includes a code, and a redeemed digital copy is not automatically 3D.
Movies Anywhere accepts eligible codes and supports offline downloads, but code eligibility and the redeemed version depend on the terms for that code and title. Its participating retailer list includes retailers such as Amazon Prime Video; participation in the collection does not prove that a retailer offers a particular film in 3D.

- Spider-Man [Tom Holland] begins to navigate his new identity as the web-slinging super hero under the watchful eye of his mentor Tony Stark.
Check the title and device before paying
Availability depends on the exact title, territory, service, and playback device. Google’s 3D video playback help notes that content without a 3D version can still be watched in 2D on other Google TV devices. That is a reminder that 3D content availability and device capability are distinct—not a universal compatibility list.
