The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 leads the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the published overall benchmark comparisons cited here, particularly in Geekbench CPU scores and graphics-related results. That does not guarantee the same gap in every phone: the figures come from different handset implementations, not a controlled head-to-head test. Qualcomm’s specifications help explain what each platform supports, but the phone’s cooling, memory, software and feature choices also affect what you get.
Benchmark results: which chipset scores higher?
Two comparison publishers report higher overall results for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Their numbers should be read within each publisher’s test and aggregation method, not combined into a single score: the benchmark versions and test contexts differ.
| Publisher and test | Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 |
|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles AnTuTu total | 1,450,949 | 1,176,492 |
| 91mobiles Geekbench single-core | 1,826 | 1,280 |
| 91mobiles Geekbench multi-core | 4,544 | 3,475 |
| NanoReview AnTuTu 11 aggregate | 1,660,924 (66 samples) | 1,041,898 (35 samples) |
| NanoReview Geekbench 6 single-core aggregate | 1,860 (23 samples) | 1,223 (15 samples) |
| NanoReview Geekbench 6 multi-core aggregate | 5,045 (23 samples) | 3,168 (15 samples) |
The 91mobiles figures are listed on its Snapdragon processor comparison. NanoReview’s figures are aggregates on its comparison page. Both pages were accessed on October 7, 2026; neither identifies a publication year for the aggregate in the material reviewed.
What the benchmark gap does—and does not—show
The scores favor the 7+ Gen 3 in these reported comparisons, but neither source establishes a matched test using identical phones, cooling, firmware, memory configuration, ambient conditions and repeated-run protocol. NanoReview also displays user-submitted 7s Gen 4 AnTuTu scores from August and September 2026, illustrating that results can vary between individual devices and runs.

Subscores do not all point in the same direction. In 91mobiles’ AnTuTu breakdown, the listed CPU subscore is higher for the 7s Gen 4, while the 7+ Gen 3 has substantially higher listed GPU and memory subscores. The overall score is therefore not proof that every component metric favors the same chipset.
Specifications and platform differences
| Area | Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU peak speed | Up to 2.8 GHz; one prime, four performance and three efficiency cores, according to Qualcomm’s product brief | Up to 2.7 GHz, according to Qualcomm’s platform page |
| Connectivity | X63 5G modem, FastConnect 7800 and Wi-Fi 7; Qualcomm states peak Wi-Fi speed up to 5.8 Gbps in its product brief | Qualcomm lists platform connectivity features on its platform page; confirm exact capabilities for the handset |
| Imaging | Qualcomm describes an 18-bit cognitive ISP and AI-assisted imaging features in its product brief | Qualcomm describes supported imaging capabilities in its 7s Gen 4 product brief |
Clock speed is a specification, not a performance result. Architecture, power limits and thermal management matter too. Likewise, a platform’s supported connectivity or imaging features do not prove that a particular phone enables every capability. Manufacturers choose components and configure their devices.

How to choose between phones with these chips
If two phones are otherwise similar and your priority is benchmark performance, the reported results favor a phone with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. For a purchase, compare the actual handsets rather than treating the chipset name as a complete verdict.

How to interpret Qualcomm’s performance claims
Qualcomm calls the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 “the most powerful Snapdragon 7-series yet” in its product brief. That is manufacturer marketing, not an independent head-to-head test. Qualcomm’s 7s Gen 4 brief states a 7% CPU performance improvement over its predecessor; that is a different comparison baseline, so it does not establish how the 7s Gen 4 compares directly with the 7+ Gen 3.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Bottom line
The published comparisons favor Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 overall, while the sources do not establish a controlled, identical-device test or prove that every subscore favors it. Treat that advantage as a useful starting point, then choose based on the complete phone’s sustained performance, battery, camera, software support and local price.
