To solve the CEG HQ Pipe Tower puzzle in Silent Hill: Townfall, get the Controller Key, enter A5D7 at the alarm panel and E3E3 at the command console, then rotate the four pipe sections twice, once left, twice, twice. Finish at the ground-floor console with Gas Flow → Flow Test → IGNITE.

How to solve the CEG HQ Pipe Tower puzzle

  1. Find the Controller Key. Look near the elevator for a key container in the box or office/control-panel area. Walkthroughs differ on the exact floor and location description, so follow the nearby elevator and local prompts rather than relying on a floor number.
  2. Unlock the alarm panel. Insert the Controller Key, then enter A5D7 to silence or unlock the alarm control.
  3. Release the pipe clamps. At the nearby command console, enter E3E3 and confirm.
  4. Rotate the pipe sections. Use the elevator to reach each section and apply the turn counts in order: section 1, twice; section 2, once left; section 3, twice; section 4, twice. The walkthroughs do not consistently map section numbers to floor numbers, so use the actual section and elevator stops in your game.
  5. Check the alignment. The red pipe should form one unbroken route through the tower. Treat the in-game pipe view as the final check; one walkthrough also reports that the flow-test lights turn green when the connection succeeds.
  6. Run the final sequence. Return to the ground-floor console and choose Gas Flow, then Flow Test, then IGNITE.

Codes and pipe rotation reference

Puzzle control Input or action What it does
Alarm panel Insert Controller Key; enter A5D7 Silences or unlocks alarm control
Command console Enter E3E3 and confirm Releases rotation clamps
Pipe sections, in order 2 / 1 left / 2 / 2 turns Aligns the four sections
Ground-floor console Gas Flow → Flow Test → IGNITE Tests the route and completes ignition

If the pipe route does not connect

  • Check that you collected the Controller Key before trying the alarm panel.
  • Confirm that the alarm panel accepted A5D7 and the command console accepted E3E3 before rotating the pipes.
  • Recheck each pipe visually. Floor labels and section numbering are described inconsistently across walkthroughs; the continuous red route is the useful confirmation.
  • Once the route is connected, use the console sequence in order: Gas Flow, Flow Test, then IGNITE.

Why floor labels may not match walkthroughs

GamesHedge, NerdsChalk, GamerHour, and townfall.site agree on the two codes, rotation counts, and final console sequence, but vary in how they describe the Controller Key location and which floor corresponds to each pipe section. These are walkthrough accounts, not official game documentation; rely on the local puzzle prompts and the visible pipe connection if your floor labels differ. GamesHedge (October 6, 2026), NerdsChalk (updated September 22, 2026), GamerHour (September 23, 2026), and townfall.site (publication date not shown) provide the walkthrough details.
