Display: higher refresh rate or larger screen?

The vivo panel has the higher listed resolution and refresh rate, while Samsung’s screen is larger diagonally. Performance: chip names do not settle the choice
Samsung lists the Exynos 2400, while vivo lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Those chip names alone do not establish which phone is faster in apps, games, or sustained workloads. No benchmark or sustained-load test is available here, so consider independent testing of the exact Indian models if performance is a deciding factor.
Durability and software support
- Galaxy S25 FE: Samsung lists IP68 resistance and commits to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch.
- vivo V80: vivo lists IP68/IP69 resistance and OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 on its current India specification page.
These are manufacturer-published claims, and software versions or support terms can vary by market. Before buying, confirm the software on the exact Indian SKU and check the applicable update policy and timing. The support duration gives the S25 FE a clearly stated long-term commitment; the cited V80 specification does not state a comparable update duration.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the vivo V80 if its listed priorities fit you
- You want the higher listed screen refresh rate and resolution.
- You prioritize a larger stated battery and faster wired charging.
- You value the listed 50MP autofocus front camera or 50MP OIS telephoto hardware.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE if these matter more
- You want a larger-diagonal display and Samsung’s specified 3x optical telephoto.
- You use wireless charging or Wireless PowerShare.
- You value Samsung’s explicit seven-generation OS-upgrade and seven-year security-update commitment.
For the 128GB tier, the V80’s announced price is ₹3,000 higher than Samsung’s historical launch price, but that is not a like-for-like current deal comparison.
