This is an India-market comparison of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G and vivo T5x 5G. Their screens are almost the same size, but Redmi uses AMOLED while vivo lists LCD; vivo has the larger stated battery, while Redmi includes an ultrawide rear camera and a stated software-update period. Prices are snapshots, not a reliable current price gap, so compare the same RAM and storage configuration at checkout.

The specifications come from the manufacturers’ India product listings: Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G specifications and vivo T5x 5G specifications. Similar screen dimensions do not mean the same display experience: panel type is the major listed difference, and the manufacturers’ brightness figures use different categories.
How the displays differ
Redmi Note 15 5G: AMOLED
Xiaomi lists a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 2392 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Its specification page states 3200 nits peak brightness and 800 nits typical brightness. These are manufacturer figures, not a comparative measurement under identical test conditions.

vivo lists a 6.76-inch LCD with 2344 × 1080 resolution and 1200 nits HBM peak brightness. HBM and Xiaomi’s stated peak and typical brightness figures are not equivalent categories, so the numbers alone do not establish which phone is easier to read in a particular setting.

Choose based on the panel type and your priorities rather than the near-identical diagonal size. Redmi is the listed AMOLED option; vivo’s listing specifies LCD.
Camera hardware: ultrawide versus bokeh
Redmi’s listed rear cameras are a 108MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. vivo pairs a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with a 2MP bokeh camera. On the front, Redmi lists 20MP and vivo lists 32MP.

These resolutions and camera types describe hardware, not image quality. Megapixel counts alone cannot show which phone takes better photos, and the available specifications do not provide comparable sample-based tests. If you regularly photograph wide scenes, Redmi is the one that lists a dedicated ultrawide camera. If front-camera resolution is your deciding spec, vivo lists more megapixels, but that does not by itself establish better selfies.
Performance, memory and storage
The Redmi Note 15 5G uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, specified up to 2.4GHz; the vivo T5x 5G uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Turbo. The available material does not establish results from a controlled, independent benchmark of these two phones. A maximum CPU frequency or chipset name is not enough to predict everyday speed, gaming performance or heat.

Memory configurations also differ. Redmi is listed with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage, using LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage. vivo offers 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB configurations, and lists UFS 3.1 storage. Compare like-for-like RAM and storage if you are checking prices; a lower-priced 6GB model is not directly comparable with an 8GB model.
Xiaomi specifies storage expansion up to 1TB through a hybrid SIM/microSD tray. vivo lists two nano-SIM slots and does not list microSD expansion on the consulted product page.

Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 7200mAh battery, compared with Xiaomi’s 5520mAh typical capacity. Redmi lists 45W charging and vivo lists 44W. The battery-capacity difference is a specification, not a measured runtime result: screen use, network conditions, software and other factors affect how long either phone lasts. No comparable battery test is established by the specifications cited here.
Durability and software support
Water and dust resistance
Xiaomi’s specifications show IP65 + IP66, with laboratory-condition caveats. vivo advertises IP68 and IP69+ on its store listing. These are manufacturer markings with conditions; they should not be read as a promise that either phone is waterproof or immune to damage in every exposure.

Operating systems and update commitment
Xiaomi lists Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and states on its India product page, “4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.” vivo’s consulted listing identifies Origin OS 6.0 but does not state a matching support duration. That means Xiaomi has the clearer published update-period commitment in these listings, not that the evidence establishes a comparative record of update delivery.
Price difference in India: check the exact variant
Prices vary by seller, variant, offer and availability. At the time 91mobiles was accessed, it showed ₹28,999 for the Redmi Note 15 and ₹27,099 for the vivo T5x at Amazon. Those marketplace prices were not established as matched configurations or final checkout prices. vivo’s official store separately displayed ₹34,999 for a selected 8GB+256GB variant. Xiaomi’s official material reviewed for this comparison did not expose a comparable current price.
Because the marketplace and store figures differ, they do not establish a dependable price gap between equivalent phones. Check live listings and confirm RAM, storage, seller, offers and final checkout amount before deciding. Which phone should you choose?
- Choose Redmi Note 15 5G if an AMOLED panel, a listed ultrawide rear camera, microSD expansion or Xiaomi’s stated update period matters most to you.
- Choose vivo T5x 5G if the larger stated battery capacity, a 32MP front camera, UFS 3.1 storage or the available RAM/storage configuration better fits your priorities.
- Compare both again at checkout if price is decisive. The reported amounts are seller and variant snapshots rather than a verified like-for-like current comparison.
These are specification-based distinctions. The available evidence does not establish which phone delivers better photos, longer real-world battery life or higher performance in a controlled head-to-head test.
