Colorlib Booking Form V8 is a free front-end template for displaying a hotel or resort room-booking form. It provides the form interface, including date pickers and dropdowns, but it does not check live room availability, store reservations, take payment, or send booking confirmations on its own. To accept real reservations, connect it to a booking system, backend, or form service.
What the template is for
Booking Form V8 is designed for hotel and luxury resort room reservations, rather than general appointment scheduling. It gives a website a place for visitors to enter booking details; the property’s own systems must determine whether those details can become a reservation.
Colorlib describes the form as usable on a standalone page or within a Bootstrap project. Its current roundup says the templates use HTML and CSS with a small amount of vanilla JavaScript, without requiring jQuery, Bootstrap files, or a date-picker plugin for the form itself. Colorlib also says the form can be placed in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects. These are publisher-stated implementation details, not independently verified compatibility results. The template’s described interface includes date pickers, dropdowns, floating labels, and a fluid layout intended for mobile and desktop screens. Colorlib notes that the floating labels do not need a separate library. Colorlib’s date-picker roundup

Those features describe how the form looks and accepts input; they do not establish that the selected dates are available or that a submitted request has been saved. The actual fields and behavior in the downloaded files should be checked before adapting them to a property’s needs.
What you need to accept real reservations
A working reservation flow needs more than the front-end form. Colorlib explains that its form templates do not themselves manage live availability, payments, or confirmation emails. Colorlib’s explanation of booking forms and backend requirements
Rank #2
- Current availability: Connect the form to a source of room inventory so visitors do not rely on static or outdated dates.
- Reservation storage: Send submitted values to a booking system, backend, or form service that can record and manage requests.
- Payment and confirmation: Configure payment processing and guest confirmation messages if the property’s process requires them.
- Server-side validation: Validate submitted values on the server; front-end checks alone should not be treated as sufficient for a live booking workflow.
The official pages reviewed do not specify integrations, APIs, payment gateways, storage design, or security settings for the exact V8 download. Check the downloaded files and the chosen booking system for those details before connecting the form. Do not assume that a particular reservation provider is compatible without confirming it.
How to decide whether this template fits
| Approach | What it provides | What you still need to establish |
|---|---|---|
| Booking Form V8 by itself | A front-end room-booking form. | Live inventory, reservation storage, and any payment or confirmation workflow. |
| Booking Form V8 connected to a backend or booking system | The form interface plus a possible route for processing submissions. | Whether the selected system supports the needed availability, storage, payment, and confirmation steps; Colorlib does not identify specific compatible providers. |
| A full hotel website template | A broader site starting point for room listings, galleries, rates, and a reservation section. | A booking backend is still needed for real availability and reservation handling. |
Colorlib advises starting with a complete booking website template when the project needs room listings, galleries, rates, and a full reservation section, then incorporating a form as needed. Colorlib’s Booking Form V8 listing
