App-management steps on a Vizio TV depend on its platform and model. The instructions below apply specifically to the legacy V.I.A. Plus interface documented for the Vizio D32-D1 family; they are not universal directions for every SmartCast or Vizio OS television. If your screen or remote differs, identify your exact model and use its manual before following a button sequence.
First, identify your Vizio TV’s platform
Vizio has used different smart-TV interfaces. The Vizio D32-D1 manual describes V.I.A. Plus, an online-content platform that needs high-speed internet for online content and product updates. Vizio’s support portal separates help for Vizio OS (SmartCast), firmware, manuals, and remotes, so the model-specific instructions matter. Check Vizio Support for your model’s materials or consult the manual that matches your TV. The current support information cited here does not establish a universal app-management path for SmartCast or Vizio OS sets.
How to add apps on a Vizio V.I.A. Plus TV
- Press the remote’s V button twice to open the full-screen V.I.A. Plus Apps Window. The app dock launches apps; the full-screen window provides access to stored apps.
- Browse the tabs to find the app you want and highlight it.
- Press and hold OK until the screen confirms the app was added to My Apps. A star appears on the app icon after installation.
These steps come from the Vizio D32-D1 manual’s V.I.A. Plus instructions. The manual cautions: “App location, appearance, and availability subject to change without notice.” Read the Vizio D32-D1 user manual.
How to delete apps on a Vizio TV
- Open My Apps and highlight the app you want to remove.
- Press and hold OK to display the app options.
- Choose Delete, then choose Delete again in the confirmation dialog.
An app with a small lock icon cannot be deleted using this method.

How to move apps on a Vizio Smart TV
- Highlight the app in My Apps and press and hold OK to display its options.
- Use the arrow buttons to move the app, then press OK to place it.
On the V.I.A. Plus interface covered by the D32-D1 manual, only apps on the first page appear in the app dock.
Why can’t I find an app on my Vizio TV?
Start by confirming your TV model and platform, then check the app library available on that platform. Vizio’s D32-D1 manual says app availability can change without notice; the instructions do not establish which apps are available on every model, region, or platform.

If the service is not offered in your TV’s library, an external streaming device is one possible alternative. Before buying one, verify that it supports the app you want and works with your TV’s available inputs. This is a general option, not a compatibility claim for a particular device.

If your remote or menus do not match
Do not assume that another Vizio TV uses the V button sequence described above. The D32-D1 manual notes that remote app-launch keys vary by model. Check the manual for your exact TV and confirm remote compatibility with that model if you need a replacement. For other platform-specific instructions, use Vizio Support to locate the relevant manual or support area.
