How do the GMKtec M6 Ultra and M5 Ultra compare?
GMKtec lists the M6 Ultra with an AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS processor and the M5 Ultra with a Ryzen 7 7730U. The M5 has more cores and threads on paper, but those counts—and the listed maximum clock speeds—do not establish which mini PC will be faster for a particular task. Which model is better for your workload?
Everyday responsiveness and multi-threaded work
The M5’s Ryzen 7 7730U has 8 cores and 16 threads, compared with the M6’s Ryzen 5 7640HS at 6 cores and 12 threads. That makes the M5 the higher-core-count option on the listed specifications, but it does not prove that it will finish a given workload faster. The processor families, power limits, cooling, and workload all matter, and the supplied specifications do not provide comparable benchmark results.
Light gaming and graphics
GMKtec identifies Radeon 760M graphics for the M6. Its retrieved M5 listing excerpt identifies only integrated Radeon graphics, not a specific GPU model.
