PostgreSQL is available on the provider’s VPS plans, not its Web or Cloud hosting plans. The advertised one-click installation is a deployment option on a self-managed VPS—not evidence of a managed database service. This can suit developers who want server control and can handle upkeep; teams that need provider-run patching, failover, or documented recovery guarantees should verify those requirements before choosing it.
Does PostgreSQL work on Web or Cloud hosting?
No. The provider’s support documentation says PostgreSQL’s resource, memory, and configuration requirements are not available on its Web and Cloud plans; it identifies VPS hosting as the supported option. See the PostgreSQL hosting support guidance.
What does “one-click PostgreSQL” mean?
The product page advertises one-click PostgreSQL deployment on a VPS, plus Docker management, configurable VPS resources, and extension installation. This describes an easier way to deploy the database software, not a fully managed database service. Treat the server as self-managed: plan to maintain the operating system and PostgreSQL, secure access, and configure the database for your application. The advertised PostgreSQL features—such as JSON/JSONB, full-text search, PostGIS, indexing, and replication—are capabilities of PostgreSQL, not performance results for a particular VPS.
What does the advertised VPS cost and include?
As listed on the US-dollar product page accessed October 7, 2026, the KVM 1 plan was advertised at $6.49 per month as promotional pricing, renewing at $11.99 per month for two years. The plan lists 1 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage, and 4 TB bandwidth. The provider says plans are paid upfront and displays a monthly equivalent by dividing the full plan price over its term. Prices and promotions can vary by market and term, so check the checkout total and renewal terms before buying. Current plan and pricing details.

The page also advertises free automatic weekly backups and a 30-day money-back guarantee. It does not specify backup retention, point-in-time recovery, restore-test results, or whether the weekly schedule meets a particular recovery objective. A backup feature is useful, but it does not by itself establish that you can restore the database to the state and deadline your workload requires.
Who is this setup suitable for?
It may fit
- Developers or small projects that want PostgreSQL on a general-purpose VPS and value control over server configuration.
- Operators comfortable with server maintenance, security controls, and database administration.
- Workloads whose resource needs can be evaluated against the listed CPU, memory, storage, and transfer limits rather than assumed from the plan name.
Look elsewhere or verify first
- Teams that need provider-operated database patching or hands-on database administration.
- Applications requiring automated failover, point-in-time recovery, contractual uptime commitments, or documented database-specific support.
- Production workloads that cannot tolerate uncertainty about restore time, recovery point, or database availability.
The available official product and support information does not establish PostgreSQL-specific performance, uptime, failover, tested restore reliability, or a defined level of database administration. No independent benchmark or recovery test is available here, so workload suitability cannot be concluded from the advertised plan specifications alone.

What to check before putting an application on it
Evaluate database hosting against your workload and operational requirements, not just the introductory monthly figure. Compare these items with the alternatives you are considering:
Recommended Free Tools
- Operations: Who patches the server and database, monitors health, handles incidents, and provides database support?
- Recurring cost and capacity: What is the renewal price, and are the vCPU, RAM, usable storage, and transfer sufficient for your data and query load?
- Recovery: How long are backups retained? Can you restore to a specific point in time? What recovery point and recovery time can you demonstrate with a restore test?
- Location and latency: Where will the VPS run, and what is the measured application-to-database latency from your users or application servers?
- Availability: Are uptime commitments, failover behavior, and support response terms documented for the database setup you will operate?
For a publicly reachable database service, define network access deliberately and keep the server maintained. The provider’s help center points VPS users to guidance for securing publicly accessible services; consult its VPS security guidance rather than assuming the one-click installation applies a particular hardening configuration. The available information does not establish a security audit or a specific PostgreSQL security configuration.
