To implement the five-anchor Destiny Matrix variant described by DestinyMatrix, reduce the day, keep the month, digit-sum the year, then calculate two more reduced sums. Its reduction rule preserves values from 1 through 22 and digit-sums only values above 22. The result is reproducible arithmetic for a calendar date—not scientific evidence for the symbolic interpretations associated with the numbers.
The five-anchor calculation
Use the day/month/year components of a valid birth date. In the convention documented by DestinyMatrix.org, the five starting values are:

The reduction function leaves any integer from 1 through 22 unchanged. Above 22, it adds the decimal digits; if that result still exceeds 22, it repeats. For example, 29 becomes 11, while 19 and 22 remain unchanged. This is not ordinary single-digit numerology.

}The order matters: C is formed by summing the year digits before applying the reduction limit. The sample function deliberately names the reducer and calculator by their convention, so the rule is visible to maintainers rather than hidden behind a generic name.

Worked example
For 29 February 2000, A is reduce(29) = 11, B is 2, and the year digits sum to 2, so C is 2. D is reduce(11 + 2 + 2) = 15. E is reduce(11 + 2 + 2 + 15) = 30, which digit-sums to 3. The five values are therefore A=11, B=2, C=2, D=15, E=3.
Keep date handling separate from the arithmetic
This method needs a calendar date, not a time or time zone. Accept validated integer components or a date-only representation with a clearly defined parser. Avoid assuming that arbitrary strings are parsed consistently: MDN notes that non-standard inputs to Date.parse() are implementation-defined. Standard date-only strings imply UTC, whereas date-time strings without an offset are interpreted as local time.

A JavaScript Date represents an instant, not a date-only value. Its local component getters depend on the host time zone, so extracting the day from an instant can yield a different calendar day in another zone. If your application uses Date, decide whether to use UTC or local getters and keep that choice consistent. Also validate components before calculation: date constructors can normalize overflow, turning an invalid day or month into a different date instead of rejecting it.

Temporal.PlainDate models a date without a time or time zone, which fits this input domain, but it is not yet available in all widely used browsers. Check your runtime targets and polyfill requirements before choosing it.

Why calculators may return different values
There is no single universally canonical algorithm established by these methodology descriptions. In addition to digit-summing values above 22, another convention subtracts 22. DestinyMatrix.org describes both approaches and gives the example 28 becoming 10 under digit-summing but 6 under subtraction. A mismatch can therefore reflect a different convention rather than a programming error.
When you compare implementations, check the rules and chart definition, not just the displayed labels:

- What happens to values above 22: digit-sum reduction or subtraction of 22?
- Are the year’s digits summed before the year anchor is reduced?
- What exact formulas produce the later anchors?
- Which chart layout and position labels are being used?
The reviewed five-anchor description defines A through E, but not a universal formula and naming scheme for every further chart position. Add more positions only from a selected, documented chart specification; do not infer them from the five anchors.
Test the convention at its boundaries
Keep the reducer pure and test the values most likely to reveal an accidental rule change:

- Invalid date components are rejected rather than silently normalized.
Separate parsing and validation from pure integer calculation, and keep rendering as a third layer. Identical date components under the same documented rule produce identical anchors. That determinism describes the arithmetic only; it does not establish the chart’s symbolic interpretations as scientific, psychological, or predictive claims.
