On paper, the POCO X8 Pro is the stronger pick for chipset, battery capacity, wired charging and listed display resolution. The OPPO Reno14 5G is the better fit if you want a dedicated 3.5× optical telephoto camera or a higher-resolution selfie camera. OPPO’s India store lists the Reno14 at ₹42,999, but available comparison-site prices vary, so there is no reliable single price gap without matching the variants and sellers. This comparison is scoped to India; POCO specifications below come from a secondary listing rather than an official POCO India specification page.

How the specifications translate into a choice
Performance: POCO has the paper advantage
The comparison listing gives the POCO X8 Pro a Dimensity 8500 Ultra and the Reno14 a Dimensity 8350. That makes POCO the stronger specification-led choice for processing power. These chipset names do not establish a particular benchmark score, gaming frame rate, thermal performance or everyday speed advantage; the cited sources do not provide comparative test results.

Display: similar size and refresh rate
Both phones are listed with a 6.59-inch screen and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz for the Reno14 and 120Hz for the POCO. The listed pixel dimensions are 1256 × 2760 for OPPO and 1268 × 2756 for POCO, a small difference in pixel count. Beebom characterizes the POCO screen as 1.5K and the Reno14 as FHD+, but those labels are secondary-source descriptions, not a substitute for considering panel quality or viewing experience.
Cameras: Reno14 offers more listed flexibility
OPPO specifies three rear cameras, including a dedicated 50MP telephoto with optical zoom up to 3.5×, plus a 50MP autofocus front camera. The POCO listing specifies 50MP and 8MP rear cameras and a 20MP front camera, with no telephoto module listed. On the specification sheet, Reno14 offers more camera flexibility for distant subjects and a higher-resolution selfie camera. Megapixel counts and camera hardware do not by themselves prove better photos or video.

OPPO’s official India page lists Reno14 configurations of 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB; Mint Green is not listed for the 512GB option. The available POCO information does not establish its official India memory variants, so confirm the exact configuration on the seller’s listing.
