If your edits appear in the AI Builder editor but not on your live site, publish the site: manual-mode changes can autosave in the editor without being pushed online. Click Publish in the editor’s top-right corner and wait for its success confirmation. Then check the site in a private browsing window. If the page still looks unchanged, use the checks below to narrow down where the problem is.
1. Publish the changes from the editor
Saving an edit inside the editor and making it live are separate steps. The Help Center says changes are automatically saved within the editor, but must be updated to appear online. In current manual-mode instructions, the action is labeled Publish; older or general Builder guidance may call it Update website. Use the label shown in your interface, click it, and wait for the success confirmation.
The Help Center article AI Builder: How to save changes in manual mode explains: “The changes are automatically saved within the editor. For the changes to reflect online, make sure to update your website.” Its page AI Builder: How to update a website in manual mode describes updating the site to view the latest changes live.

2. Allow the update to appear, then check privately
After publishing, wait a few minutes and open the website in a private or incognito window. You can also use the editor’s preview mode. A private window helps distinguish a live-site update from a page that looks old because of a browser’s existing view.

3. Check whether the site is set to Coming Soon
If visitors see a placeholder rather than your intended content, check the site’s Coming Soon setting:
- In the editor, open Pages.
- Find the Coming Soon page and switch its toggle off if the site should be public.
- Publish the change from the main editor.
4. For a store, confirm the product is active
A published page does not by itself make an inactive product visible. If the missing content is a store product, check both the page and the product’s status:

- Confirm the relevant page contains a product section.
- Open Online store → Products.
- Set the intended product to Active and save it.
- Return to the main editor and publish the site.
5. Rule out a stale browser or network view
If the site is published but still looks unchanged, try opening it in a private window, clearing the browser and DNS cache, or checking over another network, such as mobile data. These checks can help identify a stale view; they do not prove that cache is the cause.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute6. Keep only one editor session active
Several open editor tabs or devices can cause synchronization problems. Close extra sessions and continue in one editor session. If necessary, reapply the edits there, then publish again.

7. Allow time for a newly connected custom domain
The provider says a newly connected custom domain can take up to 24 hours to work globally. During that period, check the site on its auto-generated preview domain to see whether the published changes are present there.
8. If the edit is missing inside the editor
Autosave is enabled by default, but it can rarely fail, for example because of poor connectivity or an unexpected power outage. If the change is absent from the editor itself, first confirm that it persisted there; publishing cannot make an edit live if the editor does not contain it.

When the checks do not resolve it
These steps cover common possibilities, but they cannot identify the cause for a particular site without checking its settings and current state. Note whether the edit is visible in the editor, whether publishing shows a success confirmation, and whether the preview domain displays the update. Those observations help distinguish an editor-save issue from a publish, visibility, product, browser/network, or domain-timing issue.
