The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is a portable power station with a 1,070Wh battery and 1,500W of rated AC output. That combination can cover many camping devices and selected home essentials during an outage, but it cannot run appliances whose operating demand exceeds its output limit. At about 23.8 lb, it is portable enough to carry, though not lightweight. Jackery’s US page listed the base unit at $499 on October 7, 2026; price and bundle availability can change.
What the Explorer 1000 v2 can power
Jackery specifies three 120V AC outlets, 1,500W total rated AC output, and a 3,000W surge peak for the US model. The rated figure is the key limit for appliances running at the same time: add their wattage, and keep the combined running load within 1,500W. The surge rating is a brief peak for startup demands, not an allowance to run a 3,000W appliance continuously. Check the appliance label or manual for both running and startup requirements.
It also has two USB-C outputs rated up to 100W each, USB-A output, and a 12V vehicle output. Jackery’s US specifications page lists the detailed port ratings. Port availability and ratings can differ by regional model, so check the SKU sold where you live.
- Good candidates: phones, tablets, laptops, lights, routers, and other devices whose combined demand fits the relevant port limits.
- Check carefully: refrigerators, pumps, power tools, and other motor-driven appliances. Their startup draw may be substantially higher than their normal running draw.
- Likely unsuitable: appliances that exceed 1,500W while running, or loads whose startup draw exceeds the unit’s surge capability.
These are selection guidelines, not a guarantee that a particular appliance will work. Confirm its actual wattage and startup requirement, and account for other devices running at the same time.

How long will it power your appliances?
The 1,070Wh capacity describes stored energy; the 1,500W rating describes the maximum continuous AC output. A higher-wattage load drains the battery faster. Runtime is not simply battery capacity divided by the appliance’s wattage in every real setup: conversion losses, changing device demand, and other connected loads affect the result.
For a rough planning estimate, divide 1,070Wh by the appliance’s average wattage. For example, a steady 100W load gives a theoretical 10.7 hours before losses; actual runtime will be shorter. Treat this as a starting estimate, not a promised runtime. Jackery says its runtime calculator is for reference and that actual use varies.

Portability, battery life, and expansion
Jackery lists the unit at around 23.8 lb (10.8 kg) and 12.87 × 8.82 × 9.72 in. It is manageable to carry between a vehicle, campsite, or room, but its weight and size make it unlike a small power bank.
Jackery rates the LiFePO4 battery for 4,000 cycles to 70% or more of its original capacity and markets the unit as offering 10+ years of use. These are manufacturer ratings and claims, not a guarantee of the service life an individual owner will get; usage and storage conditions matter. The unit does not support additional battery packs, according to Jackery’s FAQ, so plan around its built-in capacity.

Solar charging and accessories
Jackery offers a SolarSaga 200W bundle for the US product page, but supported panel arrangements depend on the connection method. Its support FAQ says one or two panels can use the included cable; three panels are unsupported; and a four-panel setup requires specified adapters. Panels connected to parallel ports must follow the FAQ’s matching rules. Do not assume that any combination of panels or third-party connectors will work—check the exact configuration before buying.
The product page also lists accessories such as a solar panel connector, extension cables, a car charging cable, a DC-DC alternator charger, and a carrying case. Confirm connector compatibility and what is included in the specific bundle you are considering.

Can it work as a UPS?
It has a UPS function, but Jackery explicitly warns that it is not a zero-interruption UPS and advises against connecting equipment that requires a true uninterruptible power supply. The company’s FAQ states: “Please note that this function is not a 0 ms (no interruption) switching UPS.” Do not rely on it to protect equipment that cannot tolerate a transfer interruption.

Price, warranty, and who should consider it
Jackery’s US product page displayed a $499 direct price for the base unit on October 7, 2026. That is a dated price snapshot, not a promise of today’s price. TechRadar Pro reported Amazon deal prices of $448.99 in the US and £379 in the UK on July 3, 2026; those are historical offers, not current quotes or evidence of present stock.
The US page lists a 3+2-year warranty. Jackery’s manual says eligibility is limited to purchases from Jackery’s official site, Jackery-branded third-party platforms, or authorized dealers; terms may also vary by local law and dealer.
