Night Call has no universal culprit cheat: suspects’ guilt can change between playthroughs. The reliable approach is to follow the clues your run produces, ask passengers useful questions, and balance investigation time against the fares you need for gas and bills. For Passidex hunters, a community guide offers passenger-specific routes—but labels its checklist a work in progress, and some entries may be unobtainable.
How cases and night shifts work
Night Call is a single-player noir investigation game in which you drive a taxi through Paris, talk with passengers, and pursue a murder investigation while paying work expenses. Steam describes three distinct cases built around a seven-night investigation, as well as a separate Free Roaming mode. The player picks up passengers, chooses responses, gathers clues, and earns fares that help cover gas and bills. Steam’s game listing describes the cast as over 85 original characters; that is the store’s promotional wording, not an independently audited character count.
The official press kit summarizes the clue loop this way: “Pick up the right passengers and ask the right questions to obtain new clues.” The key word is right: rides and dialogue choices can affect which information you uncover, so treat a lead as a prompt to ask relevant questions rather than as a fixed sequence of steps.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow to approach a case without relying on a fixed culprit
Do not treat any one suspect as the answer for every run. The official press kit warns: “Be careful: a guilty suspect in one playthrough may be completely innocent in the next.” Steam likewise describes multiple killers across the game’s cases. Your useful goal is to build a case from the evidence in your current run, not to memorize a culprit answer from another one.

- Personalized Adventuring with Magicite - Customize Elliot’s weapons by equipping different combinations of magicite found during the journey. Try out all sorts of variations and confront obstacles using your own methods.
- Follow clues to people and conversations. Use what the game reveals about suspects to decide which passengers and questions may move the investigation forward.
- Make room for fares. A ride focused on a lead can compete with opportunities to earn money. If you cannot meet expenses, continuing the shift becomes harder; if you spend every ride earning, you may miss useful conversations.
- Read your run’s evidence on its own terms. The reviewed official materials establish changing guilt between playthroughs, but do not provide a complete, official case-by-case solution or a deterministic clue order.
How to collect Passidex entries
The Passidex is conditional rather than a checklist that every player can complete simply by meeting each character once. A Steam Community Passidex guide by cas, updated August 10, 2022, reports 89 passengers and 428 entries. Those are the guide author’s counts, not an official current total. The guide says some entries unlock automatically, while others depend on dialogue choices, repeat visits, or events occurring in a particular order. It also describes itself as a work in progress and warns that some entries may be bugged or unobtainable.
The guide marks its material as containing unmarked spoilers. The examples below reveal passenger-specific conditions, so skip this section if you want to discover every secret unaided. These are community walkthrough tips, not developer-confirmed guarantees:

- COOPERATIVE OR SOLO PLAY: Designed for 1–4 players, allowing you to adventure solo or team up to face dragons, uncover conspiracies, and shape the fate of Skyrim together.

- DEEP CHARACTER PROGRESSION: Build unique heroes with evolving skills, gear, and abilities inspired by the video game’s iconic progression systems.
- HIGH REPLAYABILITY: Modular scenarios, multiple quest paths, and varied character builds ensure every campaign feels fresh and every journey through Skyrim is different.
- Patricia Hossein: The guide recommends being nice during the encounter and reading the note at the end of the trip for the final listed entry.
- Jean-Noël Ranier: The guide says his entries require two rides in the same playthrough, several nights apart. For the first encounter, it advises letting him sleep and keeping the meter running.
- Salim Wadyan: To pursue the documents-related entry, the guide says to remain silent during the trip and as he leaves.
- Leïa Graja: For a music-related entry, the guide says to choose the cultural station when asked to pick music.
- Ariane Pham: The guide reports that her daughter Esmeralda must appear before Ariane. It says remaining silent as long as possible, then choosing to run red lights, collects Ariane’s listed entries in that ride.
- Ludwig: Because his cab appearances are random, the guide recommends listening to his stories through to the end to pursue many entries.
Some entries may require returning to a passenger during the same scenario week, while others are available in Free Roaming, according to the community guide. Its instructions are not exhaustive or guaranteed to work in every version or run.
Story cases or Free Roaming?
Choose story-case play when you want the structured investigation and its seven-night premise. Choose Free Roaming when you want to spend time with passengers outside that three-case structure; the community guide says many Passidex entries can be pursued there. Some entries, however, may depend on repeat encounters during a scenario week, so Free Roaming is not a universal shortcut to every entry.
