Battlefield 6 launched with nine maps across five theaters, but that is not a complete current roster: EA reported 15 multiplayer maps on July 15, 2026, then identified Wake Island as the game’s 17th map during Season 4. The launch roster and notable later additions are listed below. Because the available official sources do not provide one complete, up-to-date roster as of October 7, 2026, this guide distinguishes confirmed names from the unresolved total.
Battlefield 6 launch maps: all nine names and their play styles
EA’s October 10, 2025 map guide counted nine launch maps across five theaters and 25 combat zones. The descriptions below reflect EA’s official map guide; its detailed map descriptions were retrieved from the French-language version, while names use the English-language materials where available.

Which maps are infantry-focused, and which suit vehicles?
EA characterizes Saints Quarter and Empire State as infantry-oriented. Mirak Valley was the largest launch map and supported vehicle-heavy all-out warfare. Other launch maps mix infantry with armor, aircraft, or both: for example, Siege of Cairo puts infantry and tanks into close interaction, while Operation Firestorm includes tanks, helicopters, and fighter aircraft.

Why a map can play differently between modes
A map’s setting does not necessarily define one fixed playable layout. EA counted 25 combat zones across the nine launch maps and explained that combat zones are adapted for multiplayer modes. The playable space, object placement, destruction, scale, intensity, and tactical options can change, so the same broader setting may feel different from one mode to another.
EA’s example is Siege of Cairo: its Conquest combat zone is called “Exit Strategy” and includes sub-areas named Scarab District, Tajir Alley, and Hot Spot. This does not mean every mode has a wholly separate map, or that every map appears in every mode.
Post-launch maps confirmed by EA
EA reported 15 multiplayer maps on July 15, 2026, up from nine at launch, and named Railway to Golmud and Cairo Bazaar among the additions. Subsequent Season 4 material identified Tsuru Reef and Wake Island; EA called Wake Island the 17th Battlefield 6 map. Taken together, those dated statements indicate later additions after EA’s July count, but they are not a unified current roster. The sources cited here do not establish every map name or a verified total as of October 7, 2026.

Hagental Base
EA’s March 2026 Season 2 update presents Hagental Base as an underground, close-quarters map focused on infantry squad tactics and flanking through tunnels.
Cairo Bazaar
EA’s May 2026 update describes Cairo Bazaar as a reimagined Battlefield 3 Grand Bazaar experience, emphasizing infantry combat, destruction, shortcuts, and flanking routes.
Railway to Golmud
EA named Railway to Golmud among the additions in its July 15, 2026 map-count update. The sources used here establish its presence by name, but do not support further detail about its layout or play style.

Tsuru Reef
EA’s Season 4 update describes Tsuru Reef as a large-scale Pacific battlefield for land, naval, and air combat. EA also said later updates changed its playable space.

Added during Season 4, Wake Island was identified by EA as the 17th Battlefield 6 map. Its atoll layout supports island-hopping infantry, naval warfare, and aerial combat. In an August 11, 2026 developer guide, Level Designer Victor Guillermo said the team changed the layout after playtests found travel times too long and a three-objective sector too difficult for attackers. He also said the team added a shipwreck with ziplines after community feedback that open water left little cover and discouraged boat travel. These are the developers’ explanations of design choices, not independent evidence of how players rate the results.
