The Wolf Among Us is returning as The Wolf Among Us Remastered, not as the long-awaited sequel. Telltale’s official game page and Steam list October 29, 2026 as the remaster’s planned release date; Telltale’s announcement describes it more broadly as arriving during the holiday season. The remaster includes all five episodes of the original story, updated presentation and a switchable black-and-white Noir Mode.
When does The Wolf Among Us Remastered come out?
The planned release date is October 29, 2026, according to Telltale’s official game page and the Steam listing. Telltale’s June 15, 2026 announcement gives the window as holiday 2026. Because the specific date is listed as planned, it may change.
What is The Wolf Among Us Remastered?
It is a remastered edition of Telltale’s episodic adventure game, inspired by DC’s Fables comic series. The story follows Bigby Wolf as he investigates a murder in Fabletown, a hidden community where characters from fairy tales live among people in modern New York.

What’s new in the remaster?
Telltale describes upgrades to the game’s visuals, characters, environments, interface, animation and audio, along with resolution and framerate improvements. It also adds a switchable black-and-white Noir Mode, giving players a different visual presentation while they play.
The edition also includes more than an hour of bonus material, according to Telltale’s announcement: behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries and deleted scenes. Telltale’s game page additionally mentions concept art and restored content.

Will there be a physical edition?
Yes. Telltale says physical editions will follow later in the holiday season. The announcement does not specify which regions, retailers or editions will be available, or how much they will cost. No distinct deluxe or collector’s edition is confirmed in the cited announcement.
