To sign in to a DocuSign eSignature account on the web, open the eSignature sign-in page at https://apps.docusign.com/send, enter the email address on the account, select Next (or Continue), then enter your password and select Sign in. If you don’t know the password, use the password-reset link on the sign-in page. If DocuSign doesn’t recognize the device or browser you’re using, it may ask you to verify your identity with a code before you get in. Mobile app screens aren’t covered by DocuSign’s current official sign-in instructions, so app users should follow the prompts in the app itself.
Before you start: confirm you are signing in to your own account
Signing in to your DocuSign account is different from opening a document someone has sent you. If you received an email invitation to review or sign a document, you are a recipient, and the sender may have set their own access check for that document. That check is not your account login, so the steps below do not apply to it.
Have these ready before you begin:
- The email address that the account was created with. DocuSign uses this address as the login name.
- The account password, or access to the password-reset email.
- Access to the inbox, phone number, or authenticator app connected to the account. DocuSign may send a verification code to one of these during sign-in.
Demo accounts use a different sign-in address. DocuSign’s official instructions identify https://apps-d.docusign.com/send for demo accounts. Use that address only if your account is a demo account; ordinary production accounts use https://apps.docusign.com/send.
Sign in on the web
DocuSign’s localized help article on signing in to your account (last updated June 16, 2026) describes the same sequence in each language version: email address, then Next or Continue, then password, then Sign in. Button labels can vary by language or by the current version of the interface, so match the steps to what appears on your screen.

- Open the eSignature sign-in page at
https://apps.docusign.com/send. - Enter the email address for your DocuSign account and select Next or Continue.
- Enter your account password and select Sign in.
- If you don’t know your password, select the password-reset link shown in the sign-in flow and follow the emailed instructions.

When DocuSign asks you to verify a new device or browser
DocuSign may ask you to verify your identity when you sign in from a device or browser it does not recognize. This is a security check, separate from the password. Its exact behavior is described in DocuSign’s support article on new-device verification (updated September 28, 2026).

- Choose the recovery method offered on screen. The methods shown depend on how your account is configured.
- Request the code.
- Check the selected channel: the email inbox, the text messages on your phone, or your authenticator app.
- Enter the code to complete verification.
If the code does not arrive, use the resend option and check the channel you selected again. Keep the login email address current and make sure you can still open that inbox, because it may be needed for future verification.
DocuSign’s article also says that persistent cookies can help your browser be recognized the next time you sign in. Recognition is not guaranteed, so expect a verification prompt occasionally even on a device you use often.

Some users may also see a Profile → Privacy & Security setting that allows device verification to be turned off. The article presents this only as an option some accounts may have, not as a universal control, and an organization may not allow you to change it.
Two-step verification and recovery methods
Two-step verification adds a second check to every sign-in and can give you additional ways to recover your account. According to the same support article, the available recovery options include:

Which of these you can use depends on your account configuration. If your account already has two-step verification turned on, check which methods are listed for it before you need them, while you can still sign in.

If your DocuSign account belongs to an organization that has claimed your email domain, your administrator can set login rules for your account. DocuSign’s login settings guide (last updated July 26, 2025) describes three controls administrators can use:

- Disabling new-device verification for users who sign in with a password.
- Requiring two-step verification for managed users.
- Allowing a 14-day delay before two-step verification takes effect, when that setting is enabled.
If your sign-in is blocked by one of these rules, or you are asked for a method you cannot access, contact your organization’s DocuSign administrator. They can change the policy; a general troubleshooting step cannot.

Signing in on a mobile device
DocuSign’s support center describes eSignature as usable “from anywhere and on any device,” which confirms that mobile access is intended. However, the official sign-in instructions currently available cover the web sign-in sequence only. They do not publish step-by-step screens for the iOS or Android app, its menus, or whether biometric sign-in is offered. For that reason, this guide does not describe app-specific steps. Use the account email and password you use on the web, and follow the prompts that the app displays. If the app asks for a verification code, the same guidance on codes, resend, and the selected recovery channel applies.

If you still cannot get in
- You forgot your password: use the password-reset link on the sign-in page.
- The code never arrives: resend it, check the channel you chose, and confirm you can access that email inbox or phone.
- Your organization requires a method you cannot use: ask your administrator to review the account’s login policy.
- You are locked out and none of the above works: DocuSign’s support center lists topics for password issues, “I forgot my password,” recovery codes, and “I can’t access my account,” and provides contact options for further help.
DocuSign’s official sign-in documentation does not establish clearing the browser cache, changing VPN settings, or turning off security protections as fixes, so this guide does not recommend them.
