KB5067115 is the October 31, 2025, Windows 11 Insider Preview update that installs build 26220.7051 for the Dev and Beta Channels. Microsoft based the 26220.xxxx builds on Windows 11 version 25H2 through an enablement package. The flight previewed four notable experiences—Ask Copilot in the taskbar, handheld full-screen mode, shared audio, and expanded Prism emulation support—alongside fixes and several unresolved Start, notification-center, system-tray, and dark-mode dialog issues. It was an experimental Insider build, not a current release recommendation.
What KB5067115 is
Microsoft announced Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7051, identified as KB5067115, on October 31, 2025, for the Dev and Beta Channels. Microsoft says the 26220.xxxx builds are based on Windows 11 version 25H2 via an enablement package. The build number identifies this particular preview flight; it should not be confused with a general-availability update for all Windows 11 PCs.
Features in an Insider build are subject to change, removal, or cancellation before wider release. As announcement author Amanda Langowski put it: “Features and experiences included in these builds may never get released as we try out different concepts and get feedback.”

What changed in build 26220.7051
Ask Copilot in the taskbar
Microsoft introduced an opt-in experience that can suggest apps, files, settings, and Copilot chats as a user types. To enable it, open Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Ask Copilot. Microsoft says the experience uses existing Windows APIs to find apps, files, and settings and does not give Copilot access to personal content. Availability was rolling out gradually, so the option might not appear for every Insider at once.

Full-screen experience for handheld PCs
The release expanded the console-style full-screen experience to additional Windows 11 handhelds. Microsoft listed the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X as available, with a rollout to MSI Claw models beginning. On a supported device, open Settings > Gaming > Full screen experience and select Xbox as the home app.
Shared audio on supported Copilot+ PCs
Microsoft began a gradual preview rollout of shared audio using Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast technology. The feature lets users connect two supported, paired accessories through a tile in Quick Settings. It requires a compatible Copilot+ PC and supported accessories; the announcement does not establish compatibility with every Bluetooth device.

- Multitasking is easy with 16GB of RAM
- Equipped with a blazing fast Core i5 2.00 GHz processor.
More x64 features in Prism on Arm
The update enabled an emulator change that adds support for more x64 CPU features when x64 applications run under emulation on Windows on Arm. Microsoft said this support applies by default to x64 applications. A 32-bit x86 application can opt in through its application Properties emulation settings.

- An incorrect context-menu icon for some executable file types.
- Desktop icons moving during file interaction.

Known issues Microsoft documented
Start and notification center
Some Insiders could find that clicks on Start did not work, although pressing the Windows key could still open the Start menu. Microsoft also noted a possible impact on the notification center.
Missing system-tray apps
Some users could see apps missing from the system tray. The announcement identifies this as a remaining issue but does not give a universal workaround.

Microsoft used Controlled Feature Rollout for many features, improvements, and fixes, initially enabling them for subsets of Insiders. In Windows Update, the Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available toggle could make a user eligible earlier. With the toggle off, features were set to arrive gradually when ready. Turning it on did not guarantee immediate access, because availability also depended on the staged rollout and, for some features, compatible hardware.

The four previews were not universal PC features: Ask Copilot was opt-in, handheld full-screen mode depended on a supported handheld, shared audio required compatible Copilot+ PC and Bluetooth LE Audio hardware, and the extra Prism support concerned Windows on Arm emulation.
Dev and Beta Channel context
At the time of this flight, Microsoft offered Dev Insiders a temporary opportunity to switch to Beta while both channels received the same 25H2-based updates. Microsoft said the window would close when the Dev Channel advanced to a higher build number. A further shared Dev/Beta build announcement followed on November 7, 2025, so 26220.7051 was not the final flight in the series.
As with other Insider previews, channel membership meant testing software that could still change; it did not make the build a recommended stable release. Microsoft’s announcement warned that features might not ship beyond the Insider program.
