If your Vivo X Fold6 is losing charge quickly or getting hot, start by checking which apps use the most battery and when the symptoms occur. Then reduce unnecessary screen, app, and network load; cool the phone and adjust charging habits. vivo’s guidance is general rather than specific to the X Fold6, so persistent abnormal drain or heat should be checked by an authorized vivo service center.
First, identify when the drain or heat happens
Note whether the problem began after a system or app update, appears only during gaming, streaming, camera use, navigation, or charging, or continues while the phone is idle. This timing helps distinguish workload-related heat and power use from a problem that needs further diagnosis.

Find apps using more battery than expected
Open Settings and look for Battery, app power use, or a power-consumption ranking. The exact label and path can vary by software version and region. Check for unfamiliar apps or apps that are unusually active, especially in the background. Update a problematic app, uninstall it if you do not need it, or restrict its background activity where the phone provides that option.

These are vivo’s general battery troubleshooting steps; the official X Fold6 support listing provides access to manuals and system updates but does not establish model-specific battery troubleshooting: vivo support.
Reduce avoidable screen, app, and network load
- Lower screen brightness and, if available, reduce the refresh rate.
- For games, lower graphics quality or frame rate. Reduce video quality for streaming if high-resolution playback is not needed.
- Lower volume during long sessions.
- Turn off GPS, Bluetooth, or hotspot when you are not using them.
- If the phone drains faster where mobile reception is weak, compare its battery use in a place with stable service. Repeated network searching can contribute to power use.
These adjustments follow vivo’s general guidance; they are not a guarantee that any one setting is the cause of drain on every X Fold6.

Cool the phone during demanding use
Gaming, video streaming, camera use, charging, direct sunlight, and a hot environment can all add heat. Move the phone out of direct sun and into a cooler, shaded place. Reduce screen and app workload, close background activity you do not need, and take breaks during long gaming or streaming sessions. A light, breathable case may let heat escape more easily than a case that traps it.

Adjust how you charge the X Fold6
Avoid demanding activities while charging, since charging and foreground use can add heat at the same time. Use the supplied charger and cable where possible. The available guidance does not establish replacement-charger specifications for every regional X Fold6 model, so check the specifications for your region before choosing a third-party charger.
What to do if the issue started after an update
vivo says power use and temperature may rise for several hours after a system update while system resources and apps optimize. Keep the system and apps current, then observe whether the symptoms settle. That possibility does not mean every case of post-update drain or heat is temporary.

When to contact vivo service
If abnormal battery drain or heating continues during light use after you have checked apps, settings, surroundings, and charging habits, contact a regional vivo service center for diagnosis. The available guidance does not establish a universal safe-temperature threshold, warranty outcome, or hardware cause, so do not assume the battery needs replacement without an inspection.
