IIT Madras’s Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) lists online executive education certificate programs in areas including electric vehicles, ESG, additive manufacturing, supply chain management and construction technology. Reported fees range from ₹11,800 to ₹1,18,000, with the Electric Vehicles certificate costing more if its optional lab is included. Some reported dates conflict with CODE’s catalogue, so check the live course page for the cohort schedule, current eligibility and total payable amount before applying.
Which IIT Madras programs are these?
These are online certificate programs listed by IIT Madras CODE for professionals seeking to upskill. They are not the IIT Madras Executive MBA degree: the Department of Management Studies describes that as a separate two-year program with distinct admissions and a stated fee of ₹17 lakh. IIT Madras DoMS EMBA admissions.
The Indian Express reported on October 6, 2026 that applications were being taken through the CODE portal. As of October 7, 2026, some reported deadlines were imminent or had passed; application status can change, so confirm that enrollment is open on the relevant IIT Madras CODE catalogue before proceeding.

Schedule differences to check before applying
The dates in the news report and CODE catalogue do not match for Additive Manufacturing Technologies and SCMPro. For Construction Technology and Management, CODE’s January 8, 2027 start also differs from the news report’s apparent January 8, 2026 typo. The report and indexed catalogue broadly align on CPEV, the ESG masterclass and Electric Vehicles Testing and Validation, but a live cohort page is still the place to verify availability and dates.

The CODE catalogue also lists Supply Chain Management Data + AI (SCM Data+AI), Cohort 1, beginning November 1, 2026. The Indian Express report does not give a fee or eligibility criteria for this program, so check its course page for those details rather than assuming they match SCMPro.

How to compare the courses
- Match the subject to your goal: the catalogue spans EVs, ESG, manufacturing, supply chains and construction technology; choose by the skills you need, not just the course title.
- Check eligibility: criteria differ, and the SCMPro description in the news report is broad. Confirm that you meet the current course-specific requirements.
- Compare total cost: use the GST-inclusive reported total as a reference, and account for CPEV’s optional lab choice. Confirm the current payable amount before payment.
- Check the time commitment: reported durations range from two weeks to six months. SCMPro is described as 30 hours of video lectures with one-year access; do not assume the same format or access period for other programs.
- Verify the cohort: compare the current start date and deadline on CODE’s live course page with any secondary reporting, especially for the programs with conflicting dates.

- Open its live course page to confirm enrollment is open, the start date and deadline, eligibility, format and fee.
- Submit the online application using the instructions on that course page. The Indian Express reported that applications were made through the CODE portal.
