To complete the Helping Happy event in 99 Nights in the Forest, take Happy’s Scythe at the start of a run, find and return six body parts to his stake, then follow the live quest prompt for any final step. The parts’ positions vary between runs, so search for the target structures and encounters rather than relying on fixed coordinates. The walkthrough below reflects third-party guides checked October 8, 2026; event availability and later updates may differ.

How do you start the Helping Happy event?

  1. At the start of a run, open the map and locate Happy. Interact with him and take the Scythe beside him. The guides report that Happy is already on the map and does not require a separate quest activation.

  2. Use the Scythe to clear webs and spider sacks blocking routes or areas. Using it also builds its level, which matters for the Reaping badge.

  3. Before exploring farther, gather food and wood and keep an eye on your health and supplies. Searching can take you into areas with webs and enemy encounters, while you still need to survive each night.

Where do you find Happy’s six body parts?

Find the left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg, torso, and hat. Their map positions are not universal. One guide describes the locations as fully randomized; another ties parts to structures or enemies that can appear in different places. Use these targets as clues when they appear in your run, not as guaranteed coordinates or a fixed route.

  • Left leg: Halloween Barn.

  • Right leg: Halloween Windmill.

  • Left arm: stone-brick building.

  • Right arm: Alpha Wolf encounter.

  • Hat: Pumpkin Farm cart.

  • Torso: Cultist encounter. The guide that gives these specific targets also says to use eight pumpkins to tip the cart and release the torso; because guides differ on how locations vary, follow the current quest prompt if the item or target is not where expected.

How do you bring the parts back safely?

Return each piece to the stake near Happy as you find it. The guides say these quest pieces do not go into ordinary inventory storage, so plan on making separate delivery trips rather than carrying several at once. Bringing a part close to the stake attaches it and advances the quest.

What happens after Happy is reassembled?

AllThingsHow reports that a Ram encounter follows reassembly at night: dodge its charge so it hits a sturdy object, then retrieve Happy’s dropped head and return it to the stake. This final step is described in only one of the reviewed walkthroughs. If the Ram or head does not appear as described, check the live quest prompt and current event state rather than assuming the event has ended.

What badges and reward can you earn?

Pro Game Guides reports three badges tied to the event: Reaping for reaching the Scythe’s maximum level, Strawcraft for reassembling Happy, and Sweeping for destroying 200 webs. The guide reports that earning all three awards Happy’s Cart.

  • Puzzle-based tasks in scary games
  • Thrilling levels in Evil game

The event is a quest rather than a choice among classes or builds; the reviewed guides say no particular class is required. Since the structures and parts can vary by run, prioritize safe exploration and repeated trips to the stake over trying to copy a single fixed route.
