If money were no object, these are eight expensive gadgets I’d love to try: a wall-filling television, speakers built to shape a room’s sound, a motion simulator, and even a single-seat electric aircraft. This is an aspirational wish list, not a set of tested recommendations. The prices and specifications below are those reported by Stuff on 5 October 2026; offers, availability, and specifications may change.
What makes these gadgets worth a closer look?
They are not competing products, so a price ranking would say little about which is best. Each promises a different experience: a more immersive screen or listening room, new ways to relax, a more physical simulation, or personal flight. The reported prices also cover different things—from a pair of speakers to a complete simulator package—so they are not directly comparable.
Home cinema and sound
Samsung Micro RGB MR95F: a 115-inch television
Stuff describes the Samsung Micro RGB MR95F as a 115-inch television with an anti-reflection coating and individually controlled red, green, and blue LEDs in its backlight. That distinction matters: Micro RGB is a backlit display technology, not MicroLED. Samsung claims full BT.2020 colour-gamut coverage, and Stuff reports support for 4K gaming up to 144Hz. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements cited by Stuff. The appeal is the scale: a screen this large could make films and games feel less like content on a television and more like a dedicated viewing environment.

Stuff reports £143,600 for a pair of Beolab 90 speakers. Each speaker has 18 drivers facing different directions, with controls for directing and spreading sound. The system also measures room acoustics and adapts its output to the speakers’ placement and surrounding furniture. That combination makes the Beolab 90 less of a conventional stereo purchase than an attempt to tailor a listening space around the room itself.

Comfort and recovery-oriented gadgets
DavidHugh Aiora: a movement-responsive reclining chair
The Aiora uses a balanced reclining mechanism that responds to the sitter’s movement rather than relying on motors or springs. Stuff lists the leather Signature finish at £9,950 plus delivery and says demonstrations are available. Its unusual proposition is a recliner designed to move with the person in it, rather than a powered chair whose position is set by a control.
Brass Monkey Ice Bath: scheduled cooling and water treatment
Stuff reports a starting price of £12,495 before delivery. The bath’s app can schedule water temperature; its cooling system can reach zero degrees, and at temperatures below two degrees, thin sheets of ice form and break off. Filtration and UV treatment are also described. These features make it a highly specified cold-immersion setup, not a medical treatment. Cold immersion places extra strain on the heart, so people with heart conditions should seek medical advice before use.

Bon Charge Sauna Dome: infrared heat in a storable setup
Stuff reports a price of £1,995, a weight of 33kg, and a setup length of 180cm. The Sauna Dome combines infrared heat, red and near-infrared light, and pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology, which can be used separately. Its two sections fit inside one another for storage. The evidence cited for other red-light treatments does not establish what this particular device can do, so claims about sleep or recovery should be treated as promotional rather than proven benefits of this product.
Driving experiences, real and simulated
Vesaro I Stage 5: a complete motion simulator
Stuff lists the I Stage 5 package at £52,591. It includes four powered D-BOX supports that lift and tilt the cockpit, vibration, three curved 32-inch monitors, a direct-drive steering wheel, pedals, a PC, and a sound system. Vesaro assembles and calibrates the system before delivery, making this more than a collection of components to configure yourself. Motion and vibration can add physical feedback, but the simulator cannot reproduce the sustained forces of driving a real car.

Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package: acceleration with a track-focused setup
Stuff reports UK prices starting at £189,000. Porsche’s figures, as reported by Stuff, give the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package a 0–62mph time of 2.2 seconds and a brief maximum output of 1,034PS through Launch Control. The Weissach package removes the rear seats and adds a fixed carbon rear wing. The acceleration and power figures are manufacturer-reported claims, not independent test results in the article.
Personal flight
Jetson One: a single-seat electric aircraft
Stuff describes the Jetson One as an eight-motor, single-seat electric aircraft with vertical takeoff, joystick control, and computer stabilization. It reports around 20 minutes of flight and a software-limited top speed of 63mph, alongside hands-free hovering and radar-assisted landing. These are source-reported specifications, not a guarantee of flight time in every condition.

Availability and rules require particular care. At the time of Stuff’s 5 October 2026 article, new orders were reported for 2028, and the article mentioned a reported first customer delivery in Italy. Both details are time-sensitive. Jetson’s advertised licence exemption applies to the United States; it does not establish what permissions a UK buyer needs. Anyone considering a UK purchase would need to determine the applicable local requirements rather than infer them from US rules.

How to read this wish list
The reported prices describe very different kinds of spending: a specified finish and delivery charge for the chair, a starting price before delivery for the ice bath, a pair of speakers, and a bundled simulator with computing and audio equipment. The aircraft and car introduce practical questions that go beyond the sticker price, including availability, training, and permissions. None of these products has been compared here under common test conditions, so the figures are best treated as a snapshot of what Stuff reported, not as a value-for-money verdict or a live quote.
