Verdict: The 70mai 4K A900 Ultra is a strong choice if you want genuine 4K recording from both front and rear cameras. Its twin Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors, HDR capture, fast Wi‑Fi 6 transfers and straightforward app make it unusually capable for a mid-range dual-camera system. The trade-offs are extra installation cables, very large 4K files and the additional cost of a hardwire kit or battery pack for continuous parking surveillance.
What the A900 Ultra includes
70mai markets the bundle as “The Flagship of Dual 4K Vision. Every Frame Synced.” The front and rear units each record at 3840 × 2160 (4K) resolution and 30 frames per second, rather than reserving 4K for the forward-facing camera. Both use Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors and 130-degree lenses, with dual-channel HDR claimed by the manufacturer.
Other headline features include five-system GPS positioning, AI collision and motion detection, low-power parking mode and support for 4G Cloud+ 2.0. These are 70mai’s stated capabilities; availability and behavior can depend on the required accessories, vehicle installation and local service support.

Image quality and real-world performance
TechRadar reviewer Rob Clymo tested a loaned A900 Ultra for about four weeks in an SUV, covering daily commutes and longer trips across mixed roads. He installed the supplied cables and connectors, used a microSD card, and transferred and saved 4K clips through the app.

His assessment was notably positive: the dual-channel camera “captures some of the best-quality footage I’ve seen from a twin-camera mid-range model,” and the verdict describes the footage as “some of the crispest 4K footage in this segment.” That result matters because rear cameras in dual-channel kits often drop to a lower resolution. Here, both views retain 4K detail, which can help with reading signs, identifying vehicles and reviewing incidents behind your car.
The IMX678 sensors and HDR should help preserve detail across bright and dark parts of a scene, but the available test does not provide a separate night-time score, measured dynamic-range result or frame-by-frame low-light comparison. Treat the strong clarity verdict as an overall road-footage assessment, not a guarantee of identical performance in every night, weather or windshield condition.

Using the app and moving 4K files
4K footage consumes considerably more storage than ordinary 1080p recordings. TechRadar reports Wi‑Fi 6 transfer speeds of up to 45MBps and found the 70mai app straightforward for managing and saving clips. That makes incident retrieval more practical than removing the card for every download, although transfer time still depends on clip length, phone compatibility and wireless conditions.

The camera accepts microSD cards up to 512GB. Choose a high-endurance card intended for continuous dash-cam writing, and verify its capacity and compatibility before purchase. A larger card reduces how quickly loop recording overwrites older footage, but it does not replace backing up important clips immediately after an incident.

Parking mode: what you must buy
The A900 Ultra supports parking surveillance, but the standard bundle does not include the constant-power cable needed for around-the-clock monitoring. TechRadar therefore identifies the optional hardwire kit as necessary for continuous parking recording. Installation adds another wiring step and should be done with the vehicle’s fuse layout, battery protection and the kit’s voltage-cutoff instructions in mind.
70mai also offers a Battery Pack Mini. The company and review materials describe it as capable of supporting up to 30 days of parking surveillance without draining the vehicle battery. The Battery Pack Mini was not tested in the four-week review, so that figure should be treated as a stated capability rather than an independently verified result.

Installation and day-to-day practicality
A twin-camera system requires more routing than a front-only dash cam: the rear camera cable must run from the windshield area to the back of the vehicle, typically along the headliner and side trim. The review found setup manageable with the supplied cables and connectors, but the additional cable is a real consideration for hatchbacks, SUVs and vehicles with airbags or difficult trim paths.

Price and total system cost
Prices are market- and date-sensitive. In October 2026 review pricing, TechRadar listed the US price at $299.99, with a $239.99 direct price at the time. Its UK figures were £231 list and £185 promotional. The official store displayed the same US reduction and offered variants bundled with a 128GB card, hardwire kit or battery pack.

Budget separately for a high-endurance microSD card and, if you need 24-hour parking coverage, the hardwire kit or Battery Pack Mini.
