Free Bootstrap shopping cart templates can give you a ready-made front-end layout, but they do not necessarily provide a working store. The options below range from individual Bootstrap 5 cart examples to broader ecommerce templates. Before choosing one, match its Bootstrap version to your project, check which pages it includes, and verify the license and backend requirements for the exact download.
Free Bootstrap shopping cart options at a glance
| Option | Bootstrap version | What it includes | License information |

| MDBootstrap ecommerce template | Bootstrap 4 | Responsive ecommerce template with product pages and shopping carts; the description also notes newer Bootstrap 5 templates are available from the provider. | The repository describes it as MIT licensed for personal and commercial use. Verify the license file for the version you use. |
| Bootstrap eCommerce template collection | Bootstrap 5 | A collection of ecommerce pages, including a shopping cart page. | The provider describes the templates as MIT licensed and available for personal and commercial projects. Confirm the terms for the specific download. |
| Bootstrap eCommerce cart page | Bootstrap 5.2.3 or later | A dedicated shopping cart page. | The provider describes the page as MIT licensed and available for commercial use. Check the license attached to the version you download. |

Which template fits your project?
For a Bootstrap 5 cart page
The MDBootstrap cart repository is a focused starting point if you want several responsive cart layouts rather than a complete store site. Its description identifies Bootstrap 5, but does not establish backend functionality or specify a license; check the current repository files before adopting it.
The Bootstrap eCommerce cart page is another focused option. Its provider specifies Bootstrap 5.2.3 or later and describes the page as MIT licensed for commercial use. That version detail matters if your application uses an older Bootstrap release: do not assume the page will work without adjustments.

The Bootstrap eCommerce collection groups Bootstrap 5 ecommerce pages, including a cart. OldSkool includes cart and checkout pages, while the bilalDevX template describes product, cart, checkout, and account pages. These broader sets may save time when you need several related screens, but page coverage alone does not mean the screens are connected to a functioning store.

If your project still uses Bootstrap 4
The MDBootstrap ecommerce repository describes a responsive Bootstrap 4 template with product pages and shopping carts, built with Material Design. It identifies its license as MIT for personal and commercial use. If you are considering it for a Bootstrap 5 project, account for the version difference rather than treating the two releases as interchangeable.
What a cart template does—and does not—provide
A template is generally a front-end starting point: markup and styling for displaying cart content. The appearance of a quantity control, remove button, subtotal, or checkout button does not prove that it changes stored cart data or completes an order.

For example, OldSkool explicitly says it does not connect to a database or automatically work in a CMS; developers must incorporate it into an application. The other descriptions establish page scope and framework details, not inventory management, persistent carts, payment processing, tax or shipping calculations, or order handling. Treat those functions as separate integration work unless the project documents them.

How to evaluate a download before integrating it
- Match the Bootstrap version. Compare the version named by the template with the version already loaded by your site. The dedicated Bootstrap eCommerce cart page specifies 5.2.3 or later; the MDBootstrap examples and OldSkool identify Bootstrap 5, while the MDBootstrap ecommerce repository identifies Bootstrap 4.
- Confirm the pages you need. Decide whether you need only a cart screen or also product, checkout, and account pages. Use the source descriptions as a shortlist, then inspect the actual download to confirm its contents.
- Read the exact license. License statements differ by project. Check the license file or terms attached to the precise version you download, especially before commercial use; do not carry one project’s MIT claim over to another.
- Check integration requirements. Look for dependencies, setup instructions, framework assumptions, and whether the code is only static HTML or connects to your application. Plan to implement and test cart state, prices, checkout, and other store behavior separately where the template does not provide them.
- Review project fit and maintenance. Inspect repository activity, documentation, accessibility, and compatibility with your framework and browser support needs. The published descriptions listed here do not establish comparative results for these factors, so they are questions to verify rather than reasons to rank one option above another.
