Five Ryobi tools can cover distinct truck-driving needs: checking tire pressure, jump-starting a compatible vehicle, powering larger devices, charging smaller electronics, and handling light maintenance. Their listed specifications come from Ryobi, not independent testing; check each tool’s limits and your vehicle’s requirements before relying on it.
Which Ryobi tools fit common truck-driver needs?
Ryobi’s automotive lineup includes inflators, jump starters, power sources, inverters, and impact wrenches. These five options address different tasks, but they are not all substitutes for commercial-grade truck service equipment. Ryobi’s listings provide product specifications and feature claims, not independent performance results.
| Need | Tool and model | What Ryobi lists | Important limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Check or top up tire pressure | 18V ONE+ High Pressure Digital Inflator (PCL001B) | Listed in Ryobi’s inflator collection. | The cited collection does not give a pressure range for PCL001B. Do not apply the separate PCL031 model’s range to it. |
| Emergency starting | 18V ONE+ Jump Starter (P7101A) | Ryobi states 1,600 peak amps and compatibility with engines up to a 6.0L V8. | Requires a charged ONE+ battery; confirm compatibility with the specific vehicle. |
| Power higher-draw devices | 18V ONE+ 800-Watt Automotive Power Inverter (RYi8030A) | Ryobi lists up to 800 watts maximum output and use with ONE+ batteries, a 12V car adapter, or a car battery. | Device compatibility depends on its power draw and operating limits. |
| Charge smaller electronics | 18V ONE+ 120-Watt Automotive Power Source (RYi120A) | Ryobi lists 120 watts, one 120V outlet, and two USB-A outlets; it can use a 12V vehicle power port or ONE+ batteries. | Its output and ports suit different loads than the 800-watt inverter. |
| Light maintenance | 18V ONE+ 1/2-inch Impact Wrench (PCL265B) | Ryobi specifies up to 375 ft-lbs fastening torque, up to 3,100 impacts per minute, a variable-speed trigger, and an onboard LED. | The listing does not establish suitability for commercial truck wheel nuts. |
1. Inflator: for checking and topping up tires
The 18V ONE+ High Pressure Digital Inflator, model PCL001B, appears in Ryobi’s inflator collection. It may be useful when you need to check and add air, provided its capacity matches the tire and vehicle requirements. The collection page cited here does not state PCL001B’s operating pressure range.

Keep model specifications separate: Ryobi’s PCL031 dual-function inflator/deflator listing gives that model an operating range of 0–160 PSI, but that figure is not established for PCL001B. See the PCL031 product listing for the PCL031 figure. Check the pressure requirements for your tires and confirm the inflator is suitable before using it.

2. Jump starter: for a compatible starting emergency
Ryobi says its 18V ONE+ Jump Starter (P7101A) provides 1,600 peak amps and can jump-start an engine up to a 6.0L V8. The manufacturer also lists anti-spark technology and reverse-polarity protection. These are Ryobi’s product claims, not independent test results; consult the P7101A product page and verify that it is appropriate for your specific vehicle.
The jump starter depends on an 18V ONE+ battery, so the tool is useful only if a compatible battery is available and charged when needed. A stated engine-size limit should not be treated as proof of compatibility with every vehicle using an engine of that size.
3. 800-watt inverter: for devices that need more output
The RYi8030A is Ryobi’s 18V ONE+ 800-Watt Automotive Power Inverter. Ryobi lists up to 800 watts maximum output and says the unit can be powered by ONE+ batteries, a 12V car adapter, or a car battery. Its examples include lights, fans, TVs, small power tools, and refrigerators. See the RYi8030A listing.

- 18V ONE+ oscillating multi-tool designed for cutting, sanding, scraping, and more across a variety of materials using interchangeable accessories.
- Variable speed dial lets you adjust the oscillation rate up to 20,000 OPM for precision work or more aggressive cutting.
- Lowest vibration in its class reduces user fatigue for longer periods of use and smoother control.
- Ergonomic design with lock-on button and convenient on-board accessory storage for quick blade changes and tool organization.
- Ryobi PCL430 18V Multi Tool (Tool Only)
“Up to 800 watts” is a maximum-output specification, not a guarantee that any particular appliance will operate in a truck cab. Check the device’s power draw and operating requirements against the inverter’s limits, and consider which of the listed power sources will be available to you.
4. 120-watt power source: for smaller electronics
The RYi120A is a separate, lower-output option. Ryobi lists 120 watts, one 120V outlet, and two USB-A outlets, with power from either a 12V vehicle power port or ONE+ batteries. Its mix of outlets may suit charging smaller electronics, depending on their requirements. The details are on the RYi120A product page.
Choose between this and the RYi8030A based on the devices you need to power: the RYi120A is listed at 120 watts, while the RYi8030A is listed at up to 800 watts maximum output. Their different capacities and ports mean they should not be treated as interchangeable.

5. Impact wrench: for appropriate light maintenance
Ryobi specifies up to 375 ft-lbs fastening torque and up to 3,100 impacts per minute for its 18V ONE+ 1/2-inch Impact Wrench, model PCL265B. The product page also lists a variable-speed trigger and onboard LED. Those features may be useful for light vehicle or trailer maintenance when the fastener and procedure are appropriate. See the PCL265B listing.

The published torque figure alone does not establish that this wrench is appropriate for commercial truck wheel nuts. Do not use it as a substitute for the correct service procedure or calibrated torque equipment.
How to choose among them
- Start with the task: tires, emergency starting, powering devices, charging smaller electronics, or light maintenance call for different tools.
- Check the power source: some options depend on a charged ONE+ battery; the inverter and power source also list vehicle-based power options.
- Match capacity to the job: confirm tire requirements, vehicle compatibility, appliance draw, or fastener procedure rather than relying on a product category or headline specification alone.
- Consider what you already own: ONE+ battery compatibility is most useful if you have compatible batteries or intend to use that platform.
- Plan for storage: select tools that fit your cab or storage space and are practical to keep accessible when needed.
Ryobi’s broader automotive collection also lists categories such as automotive lights. The five picks above focus on separate needs rather than suggesting that every driver should carry every tool.
