The lowest-priced candidates in the U.S. AKASO listings reviewed were the EK7000 at $69.99 and EK7000 Pro at $84.99. Those are storefront price snapshots, not guaranteed live offers or proof that either is the best camera for every buyer. For a better balance of features and included gear, the Brave 4 Pro is a stronger budget pick according to Digital Camera World, but it costs more. Check the live price, stock, and box contents before you buy.

Which camera makes sense for your use?
For the lowest displayed price
The EK7000 is the budget-first starting point at $69.99 in the reviewed AKASO listing. The EK7000 Pro costs $15 more at the displayed prices, but Digital Camera World’s cautions about stabilization and the app mean that paying extra should not be mistaken for a guarantee of smoother footage or a better phone experience.
For a more complete starter kit
The Brave 4 Pro costs more than the two lowest-priced candidates, but its reported front-facing screen can make framing yourself easier, and Digital Camera World says mounts and an underwater housing are included. That can make the package more useful out of the box—provided the listing you buy has the same contents.

For an alternate price point
The Brave 4 at $89.99 and V50 X at $99.99 fill out the low-cost range, but the available evidence does not support a confident image-quality ranking between them or against every other candidate. Compare the exact feature list and included accessories rather than assuming that a higher price or a 4K label settles the choice.

Stabilization and usable footage
A 4K label describes a resolution mode; it does not by itself show how steady the footage will look or how well the camera handles movement. Digital Camera World reports decent stabilization for the Brave 4 Pro but warns of temperamental stabilization on the EK7000 Pro. There is no independent hands-on test in this guide to establish a direct performance comparison across all five models.

Frame rate at the resolution you need
Frame rate can matter as much as resolution for fast-moving activity. For example, Digital Camera World reports that the AKASO Brave 7 LE records 4K at 30 frames per second, not 4K at 60 fps; it lists 2.7K at 60 fps as an alternative. Do not infer 4K/60 capability from a general 4K claim.
Water protection and the case
Check whether water protection applies to the camera body alone or depends on a waterproof housing. Digital Camera World says the Brave 7 LE has minimal water protection without its housing. A case can be essential for underwater use, so verify that one is included and suitable for the activity rather than assuming every “action camera” is waterproof on its own.

Framing and accessories
A front-facing screen can help when filming yourself, while mounts, spare batteries, and a waterproof case may determine how much more you need to spend. Check the precise bundle and return terms, and compare like with like: camera condition, battery count, memory-card inclusion, shipping, and taxes.

Should you stretch the budget?
If your priority is a more established higher-priced option rather than the lowest purchase price, DJI’s official store displayed the Osmo Action 4 at $239 and the Osmo Action 5 Pro at $319 when accessed. Those are context prices, not cheap-camera picks or a claim that either is the right upgrade for every buyer. Compare current listings and the features you actually need before moving up in price.

Other AKASO models that may not qualify
Brave 7 LE
Digital Camera World reports 4K/30 fps, 2.7K/60 fps, dual screens, and six-axis stabilization. However, the AKASO listing showed $149.99 and out of stock when accessed, so it does not qualify as a confirmed in-stock option in this shortlist. The same editorial guide notes that the camera cannot record 4K at 60 fps and has minimal water protection without its housing. Check availability before considering it.
Brave 8 Lite
TechRadar describes the Brave 8 Lite as compact and light, with a more usable smartphone app, while also noting cost-saving construction. AKASO’s store showed it at $199.99 and out of stock when accessed. It is therefore not among the five lowest displayed in-stock candidates established here.
