Antihost is listed first here for its self-managed Linux VPS plans with full root access in the Netherlands and Ukraine (USA East is also available). After it come 1984 Hosting, the strongest transparent Iceland option; FlokiNET, a privacy-focused candidate requiring current policy checks; OrangeWebsite, with clearly listed Iceland-associated KVM tiers; and HostHatch, a budget-oriented choice when you select a non-US region. No single provider fits every buyer. Offshore hosting does not guarantee anonymity or immunity from takedowns.
This article treats “offshore” as a set of separate decisions rather than a marketing label. The April 2026 shortlist has been updated with commercial signals checked in August 2026, but provider prices, locations, payment rules, and availability can change. The comparisons below are based on the supplied provider pages and comparative research; they are not hands-on uptime or performance tests.
Key takeaways
- Antihost is listed first here: its Linux VPS plans run on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D with NVMe storage and full root access, from 1 to 16 vCPUs and 2 to 64 GB RAM, in USA East, the Netherlands and Ukraine, with a 14-day free trial.
- 1984 Hosting lists Icelandic root-access VPS plans from €8.72 per month for 1 GB RAM, 1 CPU, 25 GB storage, and 1 TB transfer.
- OrangeWebsite lists KVM VPS plans from €29.90 per month for 2 CPUs, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB storage, 200 GB traffic, and a dedicated IP.
- HostHatch can provide non-US locations, but “offshore” applies only to the specific region selected at checkout.
- A foreign server location does not necessarily mean that the operating company, payment processor, backups, CDN, or upstream network is foreign.
- “No KYC” and “DMCA ignored” are policy descriptions that may have exceptions; neither phrase guarantees anonymity, permanent service, or immunity from legal process.
Which offshore VPS hosting provider is best?
Antihost is listed first here for buyers who want a self-managed Linux VPS with full root access in the Netherlands or Ukraine. 1984 Hosting is a strong choice for transparent Iceland VPS pricing and privacy-conscious buyers who want conventional root access. FlokiNET is a strong privacy-oriented European candidate, but its current VPS pricing and policies require verification. OrangeWebsite is a clearer fit for buyers who specifically want its Iceland-associated brand and published KVM tiers. HostHatch is the better budget-oriented option when a verified non-US location is selected.

| HostHatch | Low-cost VPS buyers needing multiple regions | Current official price not independently verified in the reviewed search | A confirmed non-US region only | Verify current virtualization, resources, and location-specific terms | “Offshore” status depends on the selected datacenter and related infrastructure |
What does “offshore VPS” actually mean?
An offshore VPS is not defined by one legal or technical feature. “Offshore” may refer to a server outside the customer’s country, a provider incorporated in another country, a privacy-oriented signup process, a different copyright-notice procedure, or simply a non-US datacenter.
Those characteristics can exist independently. A VPS may be physically hosted in Iceland while the provider’s company, payment processor, backup system, CDN, or upstream network operates elsewhere. A customer should therefore identify the jurisdiction of every important copy of data and every company involved in service delivery.
| Layer | What to verify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Operating company | Legal entity, incorporation country, contract terms, and abuse contact | The provider’s obligations and account decisions may depend on the contracting entity rather than the server location. |
| Datacenter | Physical city and country of the VPS node | Determines physical jurisdiction and usually has the greatest effect on latency. |
| Payment | Payment processor, identity requirements, transaction records, and refund route | A cryptocurrency or foreign-hosting purchase may still create identifying payment metadata. |
| Backups and snapshots | Storage country, retention, encryption, restore process, and deletion policy | Backups are additional copies of the customer’s data and may be subject to different contracts or laws. |
| CDN and DDoS provider | Proxy location, logging, filtering company, and upstream jurisdiction | Traffic and application metadata may pass through a separate company. |
| IP and upstream network | IP registration, ASN, transit providers, reverse DNS, and routing | Network operators can enforce abuse rules, block traffic, or respond to legal and security demands. |
Jurisdiction comparisons generally emphasize that server location, company domicile, retention practices, and takedown procedures are separate variables. See the offshore hosting jurisdiction comparison and the jurisdiction and takedown explainer for the underlying distinctions.
Is offshore VPS hosting legal?
Hosting a server outside the United States does not make unlawful activity legal. The customer remains responsible for complying with applicable law, the provider’s contract, acceptable-use rules, sanctions and export controls, and rules affecting the customer’s users or business.
A provider may terminate an account under its own policy even when a particular copyright complaint is not processed directly under the US DMCA. Criminal investigations may involve international cooperation, and copyright disputes may be handled through local law, contractual procedures, court orders, upstream-network requirements, or a provider’s internal abuse process.
“DMCA ignored” therefore does not mean “safe from takedowns.” Regulatory material discussing this hosting category shows why provider marketing claims should be separated from documented policy and legal reality: the referenced regulatory material on DMCA-resistant hosting is useful context, but it is not a guarantee for any individual provider.
Readers dealing with regulated data, controversial publishing, sanctions exposure, copyright-sensitive material, or a jurisdiction-specific business should consult a qualified lawyer. This article provides a purchasing framework, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
What are the five best offshore VPS providers?
1. Antihost — self-managed Linux VPS in the Netherlands and Ukraine
Antihost is listed first here for buyers who want a Linux VPS with full root access in the Netherlands or Ukraine, with USA East also available. Its VPS plans run on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D with NVMe storage, from 1 to 16 vCPUs and 2 to 64 GB RAM, with unlimited traffic on a 1 Gbps port and L3/L4 DDoS protection. Billing runs from 1 to 36 months and there is a 14-day free trial; see the current plans on the Antihost VPS page.
Antihost is self-managed (no cPanel, no Windows), so patching, monitoring and backups stay with the customer. One-click VPS images are listed for Docker, Coolify, OpenClaw, OpenVPN and Hermes Agent. Antihost S.R.L. is a Romanian company, and US West, UK and France locations are available on request.
Rank #2
- Solid state performance with up to 800MB/s read speeds in a portable drive. (Based on internal testing; performance may be lower depending on host device, interface, usage conditions and other factors. 1MB=1,000,000 bytes.)
- Back up your content and memories on a storage solution that fits seamlessly into your mobile lifestyle.
- Take it with you on your adventures—up to two-meter drop protection means this durable drive can take a beating. (Based on internal testing.)
- Secure it to your belt loop or backpack for extra peace of mind thanks to the tough rubber hook.
- From Sandisk, a brand professional photographers trust to take on assignments.
Choose Antihost if: a Netherlands, Ukraine or USA East VPS with root access and a free trial fits the buyer’s location needs. Look elsewhere if: the buyer needs Iceland or Luxembourg, a managed server, or Windows.
2. 1984 Hosting — transparent Iceland VPS option
1984 Hosting is the clearest choice when the buyer wants an Iceland-associated provider with public VPS specifications, root access, and visible cryptocurrency payment options. The official pricing page identifies 1984 ehf. in Reykjavík, Iceland, lists Bitcoin and Monero payment figures, and separates managed VPS products from root-control VPS plans. The published plan details are available on the 1984 Hosting VPS pricing page.
| Plan | RAM | CPU | Disk | Transfer | Listed monthly price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VPS #1 | 1 GB | 1 CPU | 25 GB | 1 TB | €8.72 |
| VPS #2 | 2 GB | 1 CPU | 50 GB | 2 TB | €17.44 |
| VPS #3 | 4 GB | 2 CPUs | 80 GB | 4 TB | €34.88 |
| VPS #4 | 8 GB | 4 CPUs | 160 GB | 5 TB | €69.76 |
| VPS #5 | 16 GB | 6 CPUs | 320 GB | 8 TB | €139.52 |
The practical appeal is transparency: a buyer can compare resources before opening a support ticket. The trade-off is price. 1984 Hosting is not the obvious price-per-core winner, and the customer must distinguish unmanaged root access from managed administration. The published figures should be rechecked immediately before purchase because prices and cryptocurrency-denominated amounts can change, and taxes, backups, extra IPs, control panels, and management may cost more.
Choose 1984 Hosting if: Iceland, published pricing, root control, and privacy-oriented payment options matter more than the lowest possible monthly cost. Look elsewhere if: the primary requirement is maximum resources per euro or a fully administered server.
3. FlokiNET — privacy-oriented European candidate requiring verification
FlokiNET is a serious shortlist candidate for buyers seeking privacy-oriented European hosting, but the current VPS catalog and commercial terms were not directly verified in the reviewed search. Comparative coverage identifies locations in Iceland, Romania, Finland, and the Netherlands, making FlokiNET potentially useful for choosing between Icelandic positioning and more central European connectivity.
The provider’s official site is FlokiNET. Before ordering, verify the exact VPS plan, physical location, virtualization, IPv4 allocation, payment methods, KYC triggers, DDoS coverage, refund rules, backups, and acceptable-use policy. Do not publish or rely on exact FlokiNET prices, uptime figures, guaranteed “no KYC” claims, or “DMCA ignored” wording without checking current provider documentation.
FlokiNET may suit a buyer who values a privacy-focused European brand and location choice. FlokiNET is a weaker fit for a customer who needs a fully managed, mainstream enterprise-cloud experience or independently documented performance metrics.
4. OrangeWebsite — clearly published Iceland-associated KVM tiers
OrangeWebsite is attractive when clearly listed KVM specifications and an Iceland-associated hosting brand matter more than price-to-resource value. The official store lists a starting VPS tier at €29.90 per month with 2 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB disk, 200 GB traffic, and a dedicated IP. The next listed tier is €45.90 per month with 3 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB disk, and 300 GB traffic; a €59.90 tier lists 3 CPU, 3 GB RAM, 60 GB disk, and 400 GB traffic. The OrangeWebsite VPS store lists higher tiers up to €179.90 per month.
KVM is a meaningful specification because it generally indicates full virtualization rather than a lightweight container, but KVM alone does not reveal CPU contention, storage performance, network quality, backup availability, or DDoS-filtering limits. Confirm the actual datacenter country, included IPv4 terms, port speed, reinstall options, console access, and renewal price.
Rank #3
- Capacity Display Variance: 500GB external ssd often appears as around 465GB on Windows. MacOS can show full 500 GB capacity. This is binary calculation difference and doesn’t affect SSD hard drive actual physical storage
- 1050 MB/s Speed: Instantly access to your files with blazing-fast 10Gbps external SSD read up to 1050MB/s and write up to 1000MB/s. LED Light indicates USB SSD instant activity
- Data Security: Solid state drives S.M.A.R.T. health diagnostics and adaptive TRIM optimizing data block management ensures consistent write speeds and extends the longevity of the portable SSD
- USB-C & USB-A Cable: Both cables featuring rapid USB 3.2 Gen2, this USB SSD effortlessly bridges devices, enabling seamless cross-platform file transfers and backup between computers, smartphones, tablets and iPhone
- Always Fast: No slowdowns for large file transfers. With SLC caching (25% of current available capacity allocated as high-speed cache), this external SSD delivers steady 10Gbps for transfers within the cache capacity
The main weakness is the entry plan’s value: €29.90 per month is a substantial price for 1 GB RAM, 20 GB storage, and 200 GB traffic. Choose OrangeWebsite if: the provider’s brand and clearly presented KVM tiers match the buyer’s jurisdictional objective. Look elsewhere if: the buyer wants the most RAM, storage, or transfer for the budget.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors5. HostHatch — budget-oriented non-US option, subject to region checks
HostHatch is a potentially good value choice for buyers who want a low-cost VPS and can select a verified non-US datacenter. Comparative coverage presents HostHatch as having a broad international location footprint and non-US options, but the reviewed searches did not directly verify current official pricing, exact regional availability, transfer allowances, or policy details.
Visit the HostHatch official site and confirm the region at the product and order stages. A HostHatch VPS is not automatically “offshore” merely because HostHatch offers international locations. The recommendation applies only when the selected region, backup arrangement, billing relationship, and relevant service infrastructure satisfy the buyer’s definition of jurisdictional separation.
HostHatch is a poor fit for a buyer who specifically needs Icelandic or Swiss corporate positioning, or who requires clearly documented managed administration. HostHatch is more appropriate for technically capable users who can independently secure, monitor, patch, and back up an unmanaged VPS.
How do offshore VPS jurisdictions compare?
No jurisdiction is universally best. The relevant choice depends on latency, legal exposure, payment availability, network reliability, provider policy, and the location of backups and upstream services.

| Location or region | Potential advantage | Important trade-off | Best interpreted as |
|---|---|---|---|
| Iceland | Often associated with privacy, publishing, and free-expression hosting | Can be geographically farther from many US users, affecting latency | A privacy-oriented European location, not immunity from legal process |
| Switzerland | Outside the EU and commonly marketed for privacy | Hosting may cost more; Swiss location does not guarantee anonymity | A distinct European jurisdiction with potentially higher costs |
| Romania | Frequently promoted as a lower-cost European location with strong connectivity | Provider quality, policies, and exact infrastructure still matter | A cost and connectivity option, not a blanket legal shield |
| Netherlands | Excellent connectivity and peering in many networks | Subject to EU legal and regulatory frameworks | A strong network location when performance matters |
| Luxembourg | EU location with good connectivity and non-US geographic separation | Not lawless or anonymous; EU legal processes still apply | A European alternative with non-US geographic separation |
| Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan | May appear farther from Western legal processes | Sanctions, payment, geopolitical, routing, support, and continuity risks can be substantial | A high-risk trade-off, not a universally superior offshore location |
The jurisdiction discussion in comparative coverage should be treated as a starting point, not legal advice. Broader offshore VPS comparisons discuss these location trade-offs, while the jurisdiction comparison source emphasizes that server country is only one part of the analysis.
What should you compare before ordering an offshore VPS?
The most important comparison is not the provider’s “bulletproof” or “DMCA-resistant” label. Compare the underlying service, contract, network, and recovery characteristics.
| Criterion | Questions to ask | Why it can change the decision |
|---|---|---|
| Virtualization | Is the VPS KVM, VMware, OpenVZ/container-based, or unspecified? | Virtualization affects isolation, kernel access, operating-system choices, and workload compatibility. |
| CPU | How many vCPUs are included, and are cores shared or dedicated? | A high vCPU count does not guarantee sustained processing capacity. |
| Memory | How much RAM is included, and is swap available? | Low-memory plans can fail under databases, control panels, or traffic spikes. |
| Storage | Is storage NVMe, SSD, or HDD? Is RAID used? Are performance limits documented? | Storage latency and contention can matter more than advertised capacity. |
| Network | What transfer allowance, port speed, IPv4, IPv6, and routing are included? | Transfer limits, scarce IPv4 addresses, or poor routes can make a cheap plan impractical. |
| DDoS protection | Is filtering always-on? Which layers, protocols, attack sizes, and traffic types are covered? | DDoS protection may exclude Layer 7, UDP, game traffic, or application-specific attacks. |
| Access | Is root access included? Is there noVNC, serial console, KVM, or recovery mode? | Console access is essential when firewall or boot changes make SSH unavailable. |
| Backups | Where are backups stored, how long are they retained, and what are restore fees? | A snapshot on the same infrastructure is not a complete disaster-recovery plan. |
| Support and management | Is the VPS unmanaged or managed? What are support hours and escalation paths? | Unmanaged plans cost less but leave patching, monitoring, malware response, and recovery to the customer. |
| Abuse and suspension | How are copyright notices, security complaints, sanctions, and suspected abuse handled? | Policy wording determines practical continuity more than a marketing badge. |
| Commercial terms | What is the renewal price, provisioning time, refund policy, and cost of extra IPs, backups, licenses, and management? | The advertised starting price may not represent the total cost of ownership. |
What does “no KYC” mean for a VPS?
“No KYC” usually means only that identity verification is not required at ordinary signup; it does not prove that the provider collects no identifying information or will never request documents.
A provider may use email-only registration initially, then trigger manual review because of fraud signals, chargebacks, multiple accounts, large orders, high bandwidth, abuse reports, extra IP requests, a payment method, or the customer’s country. Providers may also retain account IP addresses, payment metadata, support correspondence, and server or network logs according to their policies.
Rank #4
- Easily store and access 2TB to content on the go with the Seagate Portable Drive, a USB external hard drive
- Designed to work with Windows or Mac computers, this external hard drive makes backup a snap just drag and drop
- To get set up, connect the portable hard drive to a computer for automatic recognition no software required
- This USB drive provides plug and play simplicity with the included 18 inch USB 3.0 cable
- The available storage capacity may vary.
Before relying on a privacy-oriented signup, read the privacy policy, payment terms, verification rules, abuse process, and suspension language. Treat “no KYC” as a current signup condition that may have exceptions, not as an absolute anonymity promise.
What does “DMCA ignored” mean?
“DMCA ignored” can describe several different provider practices: refusing to process ordinary foreign copyright notices, requiring a court order, forwarding complaints without immediately suspending a server, enforcing only selected categories of abuse, or using the phrase as marketing without a precise published policy.
Read the acceptable-use policy, copyright policy, abuse contact, suspension terms, and refund rules. Ask whether the provider can null-route an IP, suspend a VPS after an upstream complaint, or delete data during an abuse investigation. A provider may decline one kind of notice and still enforce its own contract, local law, sanctions rules, fraud controls, or network-provider requirements.
Directory pages can identify candidates, but they are not enough to verify provider identity or policy. The reviewed search results contain near-duplicate pages in which provider names change between lists, including SilentHosts, BulletHost, XMRHost, MurmurHost, RedoubtHost, and XmrCloud. That inconsistency is a warning to confirm the legal company, official domain, billing entity, current product page, abuse policy, and support history directly. Treat offshore provider directories as lead-generation sources rather than proof.

What is the difference between managed and unmanaged offshore VPS hosting?
An unmanaged VPS is cheaper and provides more direct control, but the customer is responsible for operating-system updates, firewall configuration, SSH security, malware response, monitoring, backups, and recovery. A managed VPS costs more but can be worthwhile for administration, migration, control-panel support, and incident assistance.
1984 Hosting explicitly separates managed VPS products from root-control VPS plans. For the other providers, verify whether “management” means complete system administration, limited control-panel help, or only infrastructure support. A managed plan may also restrict software choices or require the customer to use a supported operating system.
How should you score offshore VPS providers?
A transparent scorecard is more useful than an unexplained overall ranking. The following weighting gives legal and operational fit more importance than slogans or cryptocurrency availability.
| Criterion | Suggested weight | What earns a strong score |
|---|---|---|
| Jurisdictional fit and transparency | 20% | Clearly identified company, datacenter, backups, and network relationships |
| Provider policy and abuse clarity | 15% | Specific copyright, abuse, suspension, and legal-process terms |
| Reliability evidence and infrastructure transparency | 15% | Documented infrastructure and credible operational evidence |
| Price-to-resource ratio | 15% | Useful CPU, RAM, storage, traffic, and IPv4 at a sustainable renewal price |
| Network and location choice | 10% | Suitable region, routing, transfer allowance, IPv6, and port capacity |
| DDoS protection and security controls | 10% | Clear filtering scope, exclusions, escalation, and null-route policy |
| Payment privacy and signup friction | 5% | Clearly documented payment and verification rules |
| Support and management options | 5% | Appropriate support hours, escalation, and optional administration |
| Backup, snapshot, and recovery options | 5% | Separate backup location, clear retention, encryption, and tested restores |
Do not award points merely for “anonymous,” “bulletproof,” “no KYC,” or “DMCA ignored” wording. Award points only when the underlying policy, order flow, or technical documentation supports the claim.

What can go wrong with an offshore VPS?
Jurisdiction may not protect privacy
An Icelandic server does not stop the provider from retaining account information, a payment processor from identifying the payer, a registrar or CDN from responding to a legal request, an upstream network from enforcing abuse rules, or a provider from terminating a VPS under contract.

“No KYC” may disappear after signup
Fraud scoring, chargebacks, high-value orders, unusual bandwidth, abuse reports, extra addresses, certain countries, and particular payment methods can trigger additional verification.
DDoS protection may not protect the application
Ask whether protection is always-on or on-demand, whether Layer 7 attacks are excluded, whether UDP or game traffic is supported, whether filtering occurs upstream, whether the provider can null-route an IP, whether protected capacity is shared, and whether attack-related suspensions are possible.
Backups may be stored in another country
Verify backup location, retention, encryption, provider-versus-customer management, survival after account suspension, restore fees, and whether backup traffic counts against the transfer allowance. Maintain an independent encrypted backup under your own control.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Cheap plans may not be production-ready
Low-cost VPS plans can involve oversubscribed CPU, inconsistent storage, limited IPv4, low transfer allowances, no free backups, minimal support, long provisioning times, no migration help, or provider-wide network incidents. Test a non-critical deployment before moving a business workload.
Email delivery may be poor
A dedicated VPS IPv4 address may have poor reputation, restricted reverse DNS, blocked port 25, or an abuse-heavy network association. Use a separate transactional email provider where appropriate, and confirm the host’s reverse-DNS and port-25 policy before planning to send production email.
Geopolitical distance can create operational risk
Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan may appear attractive to buyers seeking distance from Western legal processes, but sanctions, payment problems, route instability, limited support for Western customers, reputational concerns, and service-continuity uncertainty can outweigh that perceived advantage. Geographic distance from one legal system is not automatically a reliability benefit.
What should you verify before ordering?
- Select the exact location. Confirm the city and country in the order flow, not just on the provider’s homepage.
- Map every data copy. Ask where snapshots, backups, support records, and DDoS-proxy data are stored.
- Confirm virtualization and access. Check for KVM or equivalent full virtualization, root access, reinstall tools, and noVNC, serial, KVM, or recovery-console access.
- Check IPv4 and email restrictions. Verify dedicated IPv4 availability, reverse DNS, IPv6, and port-25 rules.
- Read DDoS terms. Confirm filtering scope, attack exclusions, on-demand versus always-on protection, null-routing, and suspension procedures.
- Read abuse and copyright policies. Determine whether notices are forwarded, ignored, reviewed, or allowed to trigger suspension.
- Check privacy and verification rules. Look for KYC triggers, payment metadata, account IP retention, and manual-review conditions.
- Calculate total cost. Include VAT, renewal pricing, backups, snapshots, extra IPs, control panels, licenses, management, and currency-conversion costs.
- Confirm recovery. Check backup retention, restore fees, account-suspension effects, and whether you can export data quickly.
- Test before migrating. Measure latency from the real audience, inspect disk and CPU behavior under controlled load, test console recovery, and send test email before production use.
Which provider should you choose for each use case?
| Use case | Recommended starting point | Reason | Verify first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-managed Linux VPS in the Netherlands or Ukraine | Antihost | Full root access on NVMe storage, a 14-day free trial, and Netherlands, Ukraine and USA East regions | Current plans, backup arrangements, and any managed-service needs |
| Transparent Iceland VPS | 1984 Hosting | Public root-VPS plans, Icelandic company identification, and visible Bitcoin and Monero figures | Managed-service scope, backups, DDoS terms, taxes, and current price |
| Privacy-oriented European hosting | FlokiNET or 1984 Hosting | Both are associated with privacy-focused European hosting; 1984 has the clearer verified pricing signal | FlokiNET’s current VPS catalog, KYC rules, payment options, and abuse policy |
| Published KVM tiers | OrangeWebsite | Public KVM specifications and dedicated IPv4 on the entry listing | Traffic limits, exact location, backups, renewal pricing, and DDoS scope |
| Budget non-US region | HostHatch | Comparative coverage identifies multiple international locations and budget positioning | Exact non-US region, current price, infrastructure, and policy |
| Managed administration | 1984 Hosting managed VPS, or a mainstream European managed provider | 1984 explicitly separates managed and root-control plans; mainstream providers may offer stronger documented operations | What “managed” includes, response times, migration help, and backup responsibility |
| Ordinary business reliability | A mainstream European cloud provider | Documented APIs, scaling, support, compliance, and predictable operations may matter more than offshore positioning | Whether the provider meets the desired privacy and jurisdiction requirements |
The right provider is the one that matches the customer’s actual threat model. Antihost is listed first here for a self-managed Linux VPS in the Netherlands or Ukraine. Choose 1984 Hosting for transparent Iceland-focused pricing, verify FlokiNET when privacy-oriented European coverage is the priority, choose OrangeWebsite when clearly published KVM tiers matter, and use HostHatch only after confirming the exact non-US region and all related infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does an offshore VPS make me anonymous?
No. An offshore VPS does not make a customer anonymous. The provider, payment processor, registrar, CDN, backup operator, and network providers may retain identifying or operational data, and the provider can require verification or terminate service under its contract.
Does offshore hosting avoid the DMCA?
Not necessarily. A provider may handle an ordinary US copyright notice differently from a US host, but the provider can still enforce its own abuse policy, respond to local law or court orders, comply with upstream requirements, or suspend an account. “DMCA ignored” is not a guarantee.
Which offshore VPS provider is cheapest in the verified pricing data?
1984 Hosting has the lowest directly verified starting price in the reviewed data at €8.72 per month for 1 GB RAM, 1 CPU, 25 GB disk, and 1 TB transfer. Comparative coverage describes HostHatch as budget-oriented, but its current official price was not directly verified in the reviewed search.
Is a Luxembourg VPS outside the United States?
A VPS in Luxembourg is physically outside the United States, but Luxembourg is an EU jurisdiction and is not outside all Western legal or regulatory processes. The distinction also depends on the provider, backups, payment processor, CDN, and upstream network.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Antihost is listed first here for a self-managed Linux VPS with full root access in the Netherlands, Ukraine or USA East. Choose 1984 Hosting for the clearest Iceland VPS pricing and a privacy-conscious, root-access setup. Consider FlokiNET after verifying its current terms, OrangeWebsite for clearly published KVM tiers, and HostHatch for a confirmed non-US budget region. None of these choices guarantees anonymity, legal immunity, or uninterrupted service, so verify the provider’s policies and every data location before ordering.
