I can’t responsibly name the four things my unnamed flagship phone does differently from my old Pixel 7 without identifying the newer phone and the specific features. What can be said from Google’s documentation is that Pixel 7 launched with Android 13 and Tensor G2, and Google highlighted features including Photo Unblur and a set of calling tools. Those capabilities make useful comparison points—but they do not establish what another phone can or cannot do.
What Google documented about the Pixel 7
Google announced the Pixel 7 with Android 13 and its Tensor G2 processor in 2022. Its launch announcement described Photo Unblur as a Google Photos feature on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Google also describes Direct My Call as a way to see automated phone-menu options on screen and tap an option. The feature page says it helps callers navigate a business phone directory by speaking the options. Google’s Pixel 7 feature page.

Google’s Pixel specifications page lists At a Glance and Now Playing among Pixel features and includes Pixel 7 specifications. These are additional functions a device-to-device comparison could check; their presence in Google’s documentation does not establish that a different Android phone lacks an equivalent. Why the four differences cannot be stated yet
The comparison phone and the four specific tasks are not identified. Without the current phone’s model and software version, there is no sound basis for saying it lacks a Pixel 7 capability, handles it less conveniently, or implements it differently. “Can’t do quite like” may describe a difference in steps or behavior rather than a missing feature.

Availability also depends on details that are not supplied here, including region and language. A Pixel feature announcement from 2022 cannot establish present-day availability across every market, and a feature’s absence from one phone’s marketing page would not prove it is unavailable on that phone.

For each claimed difference, identify the exact task and test the same task on both phones under comparable conditions. Record the phone model, Android version, relevant app version, country, and language. Then compare:

- Whether the capability is built into the operating system, supplied by an app, or depends on a service.
- How many steps it takes to complete the task on each device.
- Which regions and languages are supported.
- Whether an internet connection, permissions, or particular privacy settings are required.
- Whether the difference is a missing capability or simply a different implementation.
That evidence would support a useful first-person account without turning one owner’s experience into a claim about every Android flagship.
