STAR WARS: Galactic Racer officially has three named modes: Campaign, Scenario and Arcade. The Campaign is the only one whose full structure is described in the launch announcement: it is a solo, story-driven series of racing tours where crashes can end a run, while some perks and unlocks carry into later attempts. Scenario and Arcade are confirmed mode names, but their general rules have not been fully explained.
Which game modes are in STAR WARS: Galactic Racer?
The official launch article names three modes: Campaign, Scenario and Arcade. They are the game’s stated modes, but the available descriptions are uneven: the Campaign has a documented progression loop, while the official material does not define the general objectives or rules for Scenario and Arcade. StarWars.com’s October 6, 2026 launch announcement is the source for the three names and the Campaign details below.
How does Campaign mode work?
Campaign is a solo, story-driven mode built around successive runs through events in the Galactic League, an unsanctioned Outer Rim racing circuit. Rather than following a fixed sequence alone, players choose events as they progress. Challenges escalate, and crashing too often can end the current tour.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- Choose events: Select from available Galactic League events as the tour progresses.
- Race and manage risk: Build through increasingly challenging events; too many crashes end the tour.
- Start another attempt: After elimination, regroup and begin a new tour with fresh decisions.
- Use carryover: Some perks and unlocks persist from earlier attempts, even though each new tour brings new decisions.
This makes Campaign the clearest choice for a player looking for solo story progression and run-based risk, rather than a single uninterrupted championship. The available official description does not specify a crash limit or list exactly which perks and unlocks carry over.
#1 Best Overall
- COMPETE IN HIGH-STAKES RACES - Slam, shunt, and takedown rivals across varied circuits as you pilot land speeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and pod racers. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.
- SURVIVE A DANGEROUS UNDERGROUND SPORT - Join The Galactic League - an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim. Become Shade, a lone racer chasing revenge and glory.
- BUILD AND CUSTOMIZE YOUR CRAFT - Pilot different classes of repulsorcraft each with distinct physics and playstyles. Build a ride that showcases your style and gives you a competitive edge.
- BATTLE RIVALS IN MULTIPLE GAME MODES - Ride solo through a story-driven campaign of shifting alliances or brave strategic PvP grudge matches where reputation rides with you.
- CLIMB THE RANKS AND EARN REWARDS - Prove yourself through intense rivalries and escalating challenges. Every choice shapes your prospects as you build your status in The Galactic League.
What is Scenario mode?
Scenario is an officially named mode, but the launch announcement does not explain its objectives, event structure, progression, or replay rules. That means there is not enough confirmed information to describe it as a particular type of challenge or to say how it differs from Campaign in practice.
What is Arcade mode?
Arcade is also an official mode name, but its overall rules and event lineup have not been detailed in the cited official material. One narrow exception is the April 30, 2026 edition announcement: it says the Deluxe Edition includes three Arcade events designed for three specified bonus vehicles, with target times and records for friends to beat. Those details apply to the included bonus events, not necessarily to Arcade mode as a whole.

How do PvP and multiplayer fit in?
The Xbox listing describes strategic PvP grudge matches and specifies online multiplayer for 2–12 players on Xbox. This establishes multiplayer competition as part of the Xbox offering, but it does not fully map PvP onto the three official mode names. The Xbox product listing is the source for that platform-specific player range.
A PC Gamer guide published October 7, 2026, separately describes a multiplayer Tour format spanning six races, during which players can upgrade a speeder. Treat that as secondary reporting about a multiplayer format, not as an official definition of Campaign, Scenario or Arcade: PC Gamer’s guide.
