If you already use DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, three additions can fit an $80 ceiling: the DCB115 charger at a catalog-listed $24.99, a DCF787 impact driver when a bare or used deal appears near $60, and the DCS356 oscillating multi-tool when a kit promotion reaches $79. The charger is the most predictable buy; the two tools depend on condition, kit contents and short-lived promotions.
What you can realistically buy for less than $80
Under-$80 DEWALT 20V purchases are not all equivalent. A charger has relatively stable accessory pricing, while an impact driver or oscillating tool may meet the limit only as a bare tool, used marketplace listing or temporary sale. Before paying, check whether the listing includes a battery and charger, identify the seller and condition, and read the return policy.

The DCB115 does not expand what you can cut, sand or fasten by itself, but it increases the usable capacity of every compatible battery you already own. Confirm that the listing is the DCB115 model and not a battery-only or non-DEWALT substitute.

2. DEWALT DCF787 impact driver: compact fastening power
The DCF787 is a 20V MAX 1/4-inch brushless impact-driver kit model. DEWALT states that it delivers 1,500 in-lbs of torque, and DEWALT Canada identifies the tool at 2 lb in its combo description. That combination makes it suited to driving long screws, structural fasteners and bolts where a compact tool is easier to control than a larger drill.
DEWALT’s kit configuration includes a battery and charger, but marketplace listings do not necessarily use that configuration. User-reported marketplace examples around $60 may represent used tools or bare-tool stock, so do not assume a battery, charger, case or accessories are included.

How to evaluate a $60 listing
- Confirm the model number is DCF787 rather than a visually similar impact driver.
- Ask whether the price covers the bare tool or a complete kit.
- Check battery condition, charger inclusion, seller feedback and the return window.
- Look for visible damage around the chuck, trigger, battery rails and housing.
The DCF787 appears alongside the DCD777 drill/driver and DCS356 oscillating tool in DEWALT’s DCK379D2 20V MAX combo, confirming that these models belong to the same battery ecosystem. That does not make every listing interchangeable: battery and charger availability still determines the true cost.
3. DEWALT DCS356 oscillating multi-tool: the most versatile deal
The DCS356D1 is a 20V MAX XR brushless cordless three-speed oscillating multi-tool kit. DEWALT’s combo description specifies a three-speed selector and a dual-grip variable-speed trigger, letting you choose a speed for the application and adjust control while cutting, sanding or scraping.

A Slickdeals deal report recorded a DCS356C1 kit with a 1.5 Ah battery and charger for $79. That is a promotion snapshot, not a standing price. Check the current seller, stock, battery capacity and included accessories before treating it as an under-$80 purchase.
When it earns a place in your collection
- Use it for plunge cuts, flush cuts, grout or adhesive removal, and detail sanding where a circular saw or sander is too large.
- Choose it when one tool covering several light-duty tasks is more valuable than another single-purpose tool.
- Prioritize the kit only if the included battery and charger are useful to you; a bare tool may be cheaper when you already have multiple batteries.
The three-speed control is a practical advantage for switching between aggressive material removal and more controlled finishing work. Blade and sanding-accessory costs are separate, so include them in your budget if you do not already have compatible accessories.

Choose the DCB115 if charging capacity is your bottleneck

Choose the DCS356 if one tool must cover many tasks
A $79 kit is attractive when the battery and charger are included and the promotion is still live. Otherwise, compare the bare-tool price with the cost of accessories you need.
